SO HAPPY-Update: After much discussion between ourselves and trainer Mark Glatt, So Happy will not be participating in the Preakness Stakes and has safely returned home to Santa Anita Park.
The grueling mile-and-a-quarter distance we ask of these horses on Kentucky Derby day is truly a lot, and as owners, our philosophy has always remained the same: horse first.
So Happy came back healthy after his long flight home, and our focus now is keeping him healthy, happy, and strong for the future. We do not believe in pushing our horses simply for the sake of making a race.
As a team, we are currently evaluating him. And deciding his next step.
We are incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support So Happy has received from racing fans across the country and world. His journey has inspired so many people, and we cannot wait to announce his next race soon.
In the meantime, we’re excited to share that our “Wear the Story” Collection website will be launching shortly so all of So Happy’s fans can continue cheering him on in style.
