NO MATTER your age, thank you notes ARE ALWAYS welcomed, and if it’s from an eight years old, they’re wonderful!
Recently, I taught a class on Etiquette, and one of the attendees brought her eight-year-old granddaughter along. She sat there with her notebook, drawing and writing away, and I'm pretty sure she was secretly taking notes on how to become the next Emily Post. Although it didn’t seem like she was paying attention, she was totally listening, and even raised her hand to ask a question, because let's be real, she's possibly more polite than most adults.
When we were finished, she came up to me and said, “Here, this is for you (see photo),” and let me tell you, it was the most heartwarming thing & I wanted to share it. It was a reminder that you never know who's listening or watching you, and also that kids are way more perceptive than we give them credit for. So, do you need a refresher class on your manners? Maybe you've never been taught, or maybe you just need a little brush-up. Don't worry, I've got you covered. Contact me and let's get you feeling like a total etiquette rockstar. Whether it's dining, social, or professional etiquette, I can help you make learning etiquette effortless and fun!

It says, “Thank you Debbie, you make me feel big even though I am the youngest.”
Heartwarming for sure!! ❣️

ACCOUNTABILITY …. Admitting when you are wrong!

This rabbit has decided to take up residency with us. Feeling sorry for him, I asked my neighbor lady what they eat. She said,”lettuce, carrots, nuts & things like that.” After throwing these items out for the rabbit to eat, they were only “investigated” and not eaten.

A trait of PROFESSIONALISM is accountability…that is, taking ownership of your mistakes and learn from them.

Ok, I’m wrong & what I have learned from this:

1. Do my own research
2. Remember if I feed the rabbit now, it will be here in the Spring eating my new plants.
3. As soon as the snow melts, I will need to clean up “a salad lying on my patio.” 😂

Do you like to watch people? I do, and especially people at airports. Seeing different cultural dress, various styles and the flight crew uniforms is very entertaining. A couple of weeks ago while sitting in ORD (Chicago) waiting for my next flight, I was watching passengers and a very “eye-catching” flight crew came by. It was amazing to see the people around me watching them walk by dressed in their uniforms, but the way they carried themselves with confidence and poise was striking. Although I didn’t know what airline they were with, I wanted to follow them to see the plane. If the employees stand out, what is the plane like and how are the passengers treated?
Is this like your company? Do people want to do business with you and your staff?
First impressions are real.

PS: Pulling out from the gate, I did see the name of the airline. Not surprising!

Do annoying dining habits drive you crazy when you're watching someone eat? Ever catch people red-handed (or should I say red-tongued?) licking their spoons, forks, and knives? Newsflash: just because the food is tasty doesn't mean you need to lick the last morsel off of it. Utensils have a singular purpose - to transport food to your mouth. Sure, using the wrong fork might earn you a few raised eyebrows, but talking with your mouth full, belching like a caveman, and utensil-licking are the real table-turning offenses. And let's not forget the clincher: there's no such thing as a tongue band-aid to save you from your bad habits.😂
