From concept to reality, and what a beautiful reality it is. I've said it before and I'll say it again, seeing one of my designs come to life and become a tangible object is such a cool experience. Based off the logo, we created a concept for new signage at the farm, where I then had the privilege to see it come to life, step by step in the manufacturing process at my full time job. To add the cherry on top, this beautiful sign was installed today by my Father-in-law & my Uncle-in-law. What a blessing this project has been❤️

I grew up admiring the original barn, and I've spent the past few years watching the original barn get torn down, and the new barn go up. Driving by each time while the new barn has been built I wondered, "what's going on here" so to find out that this is going to be a new event venue in our area, and then to have the opportunity to create a logo for it has been a dream come true! This project QUICKLY became my favorite to date! The history of the property, the striking beauty of the barn and surrounding property, and of course the simple elegance of the design makes my heart so dang happy. I also knew the minute I stepped on the property that this is an absolute bucket list venue to second shoot an event with my sister.

I think I speak for a lot of people today when I say it has been the Monday-est Monday ever. All day today it seemed like I was just waiting for the next blow, cringing with every question asked and fearing the unknown. So naturally I cranked up my music on my drive home and decided I was going to spend my evening designing and letting my mind wander.

So here's a simple reminder - Just breathe.

"Now this might not be an easy time.
There’s rivers to cross & hills to climb.
Some days we might fall apart
And some nights might feel cold & dark.

But nobody wins afraid of losing
& the hard roads are the ones worth choosing.
Some day we’ll look back & smile,
And know it was worth every mile."
