How many band tees do you have?

What makes the "perfect" band T-shirt? It's a question as old as music itself, and we finally have some answers. A new survey of 1,000 music fans sheds some light on band T-shirt preferences, from long people keep their shirts to what colors they prefer (and much more).

Rising Costs = Rising Prices
Our inboxes have been teeming with emails about coming price increases. Here's why.
There are several factors causing cost/price increases across the board, including within the promotional products industry:
• Raw material costs. Market conditions are driving up the cost of commodities (e.g., crude oil, lumber, wood pulp used for paper and plastic materials) which has created cascading cost increases in finished products across all industries.
• Transportation rates. A global shortage of shipping containers, lockdown restrictions slowing down global trade, lack of manpower and trade imbalances have caused the cost of shipping goods via ocean transport to be 4x higher vs. normal rates and inland transport rates are up to 3x higher.
• Global exchange rate fluctuations. We pay our global vendors in USD, and they primarily pay their workers and suppliers in their local currency. The U.S. dollar has weakened as related to many global currencies, thus causing suppliers to raise USD prices to compensate for the weaker dollar.
Our factories are also making significant investments to address staffing and inventory challenges:
• Investment in our people – They are taking steps to ensure they hire and retain people to support the growth in business from you, our customers. Depending on market conditions in the areas they operate in, they are adjusting wages and offering other incentives in order to keep and attract talent.
• Inventory investment – They continue to make healthy investments in inventory to be prepared as more businesses bounce back. They are investing significantly in their best sellers to ensure we have the products in demand from you when you want them.

Overall I thought this was a good article, but I'd like to add a couple of points.
1. NEVER put off letting your client know if there is a possibility of bad news coming. A little extra time may allow them to pivot and save a catastrophe on their end.
2. Have more than one option when possible and ASK the client what they would like to see happen at this point; what do they feel would be the most fair resolution rather than deciding for them.
I'd love to hear your comments.

Nobody likes to be the bearer of bad news. Unfortunately, it’s nearly impossible to avoid during your career. Mistakes happen, schedules change, and plans fall apart sometimes. Knowing how to break the news to your
