Some connections to Heritage Hills stay with you wherever basketball takes you.

This morning, Trent Sisley returned to Heritage Hills and gave the basketball team shoes for the upcoming season. Each player had the chance to choose a pair.

After three seasons as a Patriot, Trent holds Heritage Hills’ career scoring and rebounding records and now plays at Indiana University. He talked about the support he still receives from people in Heritage Hills and Santa Claus, including fans who come up to him at Indiana Basketball games. Today was a chance to give some of that support back to the next group of Patriots.

Seeing the stories of our kids reach farther into the community is a pretty good reminder of why we do what we do.

Of course, Hanke Studios is a business, and promoting our work helps that business grow.

But for us, growth has never just meant more clients or more bookings.

Growth means reach.

It means more people get to see the greatness of our young men and women, the kindness of our neighbors, and the moments that make Spencer County such an amazing place to call home.

At the core of everything we do, we are storytellers.

We’re fortunate to have our photos in the newspaper nearly every week, and it still means a lot every single time. This week, three of our photos from the Heritage Hills vs. Gibson Southern game made the front of the sports section of the Spencer County Leader.

Sarah and I spend a lot of nights on sidelines, at community events, and behind computers editing because this is our home too. These are our schools, our neighbors, our friends, and our kids.

Every time Hanke Studios grows, the platform for those stories grows with it.

The farther Hanke Studios reaches, the farther Spencer County’s stories can reach with us.

And at the end of the week, if these kids feel seen, if they know people are paying attention, and if they know that what they are doing matters, then Hanke Studios did its job.

That’s why we show up.

That’s why we tell these stories.

That’s why we do what we do.

PATRIOTS WIN ON THE ROAD!

Heritage Hills traveled to Mt. Vernon Friday night and came home with a 35-7 victory over the Wildcats.

The 2026 St. Meinrad Fire & Farm Expo is almost here!

Join the St.Meinrad Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary this Sunday, October 4, for a full day at the Saint Meinrad Community Center & Park.

This year’s Expo will feature Allis-Chalmers tractors in conjunction with The Early Days Antique Club, along with fire trucks, food, family activities, and plenty more throughout the day.

Hanke Studios has had the opportunity to work with the department leading up to this year’s event, helping create promotional content and tell the story behind the Fire & Farm Expo. On Sunday, we’ll be there again to document the event and capture everything happening throughout the day.

If you’re looking for something to do this Sunday, come out to Saint Meinrad and support the people and organizations that make events like this possible.

Now that Dale Fall Fest weekend is behind us, we’re turning our attention toward another community event we’re excited to be part of this fall.

Hanke Studios is proud to be working with the St.Meinrad Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary to help promote and document the 2026 Fire & Farm Expo.

If you’ve been following along, you’ve already seen some of the original promo videos we created with their crew. Over the next few weeks, we’ll continue sharing more as we build toward October 4.

This project has been a little different from simply showing up on event day. We’ve been able to work with the department ahead of time to create promotional content, build excitement, tell their story, and then carry that coverage into the event itself.

That’s something we really enjoy doing with local organizations: helping tell the full story, not just documenting one day.

YOUTH DEMOLITION DERBY AND SCRAPPERS

Thursday night at the 2026 Spencer County FAIR brought the Youth Demolition Derby and Scrappers to the arena.

The next generation of drivers put on an exciting show and gave families plenty of action to enjoy during Day 2 of the fair.

The Cincinnati Circus Company brought the excitement of the big top to Day 2 of the 2026 Spencer County FAIR.

With incredible performances, skilled entertainers, and plenty of energy, the circus gave fairgoers another memorable part of Thursday night.
