Back at it again

It was my goal this last batch to make myself a set of bowls. I also experimented with the rimmed foot of the bowls, and new glazes. What’s cool is that last pinch pot in the video is a combo of the two bowl glazes you see, and it really pulled the oranges out. My ceramic friend said “it reminds me of walking through African grass” and I love that. I learn something every single time I do anything in ceramics and that’s pretty cool.

Started watching a British countryside tv series tonight. Got me feelin cozy. Wales in autumn, the 400 year old cottage we stayed in, & the surrounding landscapes. A dream 🐑

In a season of mass creating right now. Building my studio shop, reworking websites, diving back into my ceramics, leaning into my true passions in photography. In love with this stretching season. I’m turning into a storefront with curated home, clothing, and local artist goods. It will also be the hub of my creations (my travel prints, ceramics, and the website will host my artist works as well, moving everything to a singular “creative design studio” site!) This is all so exciting to me and I’m really giving my full effort into this dream right now. As Rick Rubin said, “All that matters is that you are making something you love, to the best of your ability, here and now” 🫶🏼✨

2024 brought me closer to some amazing people, and I’m so proud of the shoots we put together. We held space for creativity and I got to focus more on what truly fuels me as an artist. This shift for my work feels good, focusing on fashion, travel, and inspiring spaces — and shifting towards film exclusively ✨ I want to do a recap at some point, but for now I wanted room for this shoot. and welcomed me into their lovely home, made us coffee, and we captured a slow afternoon with their new babe 🧺🎀

Scenes from Shere Village in Surrey ✨ on our most recent trip, Laramy and I had photos done in this quaint English town. We met up with our photographer nearby and she took us to this village, and told us The Holiday was filmed here, and we had no idea beforehand! After our shoot, we were hungry and stumbled into this pub where the scenes were shot and it was a such an accidental dream come true. Laramy had never seen the movie before, so I obviously made him watch it with me this Christmas season 🤎

Tomorrow 12/14 from 12-4 pm I’ll be set up at with my prints & other collected goods to shop ✨ this is the first multi vendor pop up at my very own studio and I can’t wait to host these other creative businesses. The community I’ve found this year has been so inspiring and encouraging. Come hang with us and join in on the start of a very exciting new journey for the studio, for my art, for our community, and creatives as a whole 🫶🏼
