Guys. Here's a big tip to take your website from cringe π¬ to win π€.
You ever been on a website, and this first thing you see doesn't make any sense and is kind of weird? Like the first image I attached?
It's because the messaging is super vague. Not to mention the typefaces are atrocious, but we'll save that for another day.
When people land on your site, you want them to know in 3 seconds or less:
1. What you do/what kind of results they can get
2. Who you do it for
3. How they can get it
The first example doesn't do that. This second one (image attached) does.
You see the difference? I'll explain.
In the second example, the main headline text "Transform your business. Take back your life" promises a result. That's a result a lot of people (entrepreneurs, this company's audience), want. You can change that for whatever your particular audience needs.
And the second line of "Every owner starts their business with a dream. Weβre here to make sure you achieve yours," says clearly what the company will help them do. They help you achieve your business dreams.
And then the button "Take the free business assessment" is a clear call to action for people to take. The language of that button is super clear. It's also probably the first step in their sales funnel; get people to take the business assessment, review the results and see if they're a good fit for coaching, schedule a call, etc.
You definitely want that button to get people closer to whatever main action you want them to take. Schedule a call, contact you, donate, learn more, etc.
So the takeaways here? Have clear messaging on the header of your homepage.
That first impression can make or break your results, and often leaves a lot on the table for most people.
Don't have a vague, cringey website. Lol. Be clear.
