I've made the wrong deal before. Said Yes when I should have said No. And that's tough.

But what floors me is that I then go out and do it again. I say "Yes" because I want to help, because I want to be a part of the solution, because someone won't like it if I say "no".

My message for Memorial Day. These freedoms we have, we need to protect.

We need to do more than thank a Veteran for their service. Which you should do. But we also need to work hard, to give more of ourselves in pursuit of keeping these freedoms they paid so dearly for.

Rules were made to help us. They keep us from doing stupid stuff. They keep us from hurting each other.

But when we want something so badly, like the "seller's high" when someone says "yes", we'll do almost anything to get it. It's a dangerous drug.

If your buyer says "This looks good, let me run it by Bob first", then you don't have a deal.

You have a deal when Bob says you have a deal. So what does Bob need to know?

Give your buyer the ammo he needs to get Bob on board.

Ask him what he thinks Bob is going to say. That's a handy bit of info to have, don't you think?

Nobody wants to be sold.

Stop trying to pull your buyer to your side of the story.

If you need the deal so badly that you're afraid to hear a "no" then you're not solving problems for your customer. You're just trying to save your own skin.

Negative Reverse selling turns things around and gives the buyer the ability to open up the channels of communication. That's where the truth is.
