It’s literally ~impossible~ to capture the full depth and breadth of grit AND joy that is the Level Up Games each year.
But each year for the last 3 years I’ve gotten the chance to try, camera in hand, making my way around the floating floor to each moment. And each image captured proves to me time and time again that these people and this place are truly unlike any other. 💙
And attempting to choose a few images to share a peek into the day?… Also impossible 🙃, but at least here is a tiny glimpse at just how meaningful and transformative and impressive and fun it all is.
To every athlete who competed: wow, you are incredible and inspire us all. I was brought to tears SO many times behind the camera at you pushing through and crushing it!
To every counter & cheerleader & family member/friend/puppy😍: you really showed up this year! And it means so much and makes the day just that much more special!
To every trainer & staff member: thank you for making this possible for us all at the Games and *every* day.
Endlessly thankful! What an honor it is to be a tiny part of such a special place and community! Happy 3rd birthday, ! And a giant two claps for you all!👏🏻👏🏻

Celebrating 11 years in business this month and I couldn’t be more grateful. 🥳 With every year that passes I’m more and more blown away and thankful for this career and the people I get to capture and care for through photography. The moments turn into memories, the relationships deepen, the little snapshots mark a second in time we’ll reflect on for years to come. It’s the realization that we’ll never get this time back and *I* get the chance to document it for people I serve:
a family in ~this~ particular season of life; the squishy newborn in all its glory 💕; a brand launching and growing and evolving again and again; people stepping out in boldness and bravery to something new.

Every chance to pick up my camera and celebrate the person in front of me is an honor.
Every single one of my clients inspires me in ways I’ll never fully be able to articulate.
And every day I have the chance to do this work I am thankful the Lord put this passion on my heart and for the people I get to do it alongside. 🙏🏻
If you’re here, you’re part of that. 💕

Couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome baby Fisher. Parents of two boys looks good on you, friends. 🥰 big brother’s smile says it all. This family is the best & baby Fisher is one lucky buddy!

If our 8th grade science fair partner selves could see us now. 💕 My friendship with Cindy (and Jason!) spans literal decades, and I’ve had the privilege to photograph everything from lounging around with friends in high school on my little point & shoot I toted everywhere, to freshman year roommate & sorority function fun, and as adults… to their engagement to wedding to maternity to newborn & family photos. And this season is my most favorite yet… two boys and all the joy! Congrats to all!

Sisters 🥰 oh sweet Findley & Daphne, I have no doubt you’re going to be besties.
Getting to photograph for dear friends like Monique & Robert is always so special. I captured Monique’s maternity session & Findley’s newborn photos years ago, and so getting to see the sweet bond already formed in their family with their newest arrival is the best. From the family’s heirloom bassinet & Findley’s lovie she picked out for her baby sister in London, to cozy snuggles all around, this newborn session was full of love and giggles! Congrats to all!

Spent a weekend away with Chip at and it was so very lovely. I’d been before for a few photoshoots, but haven’t spent much “free time” there, so was thrilled to get to experience it through a new lens. Any time I am in a “new” travel destination, I aim to take a solo walk with my camera in hand for even 30 minutes to see what I find. This time while Chip was reading and napping (what a novel idea for these parents of toddlers! Free time?! Naps?! A dream!) it was a combo of a solo walk and a solo golf cart drive (which honestly added to the fun) around the property. From amazing architecture and home design to the most gorgeous landscaping and layers of natural texture and colors, I thoroughly enjoyed my outing, and even got to pop into an open house before making it back in time to tour and for a wine tasting at . 💯 Dreaming of our time away as we get back into the routine & prep for back to school right around the corner! And always always reminded just how much these kinds of trips mean to us a individuals and as a couple. Already can’t wait for our next one. For now, a few favorite snaps from my mini creative walk.

Double the cuteness, double the fun, double the running 😉. These two just turned two and getting to capture their family again after photographing them in the womb + as newborns felt extra sweet. Loved seeing their personalities come out throughout the session & photographing them in their element at home. The most special!

Sweet Waylon celebrated his first birthday yesterday, and I got a little time with him to capture all the cuteness. A homemade cake by his beautiful mama & a vintage high chair all four of their littles have used to celebrate this milestone. What a precious guy. Happy birthday, buddy!

What a year!
I began creating a Reel of all the highlights of the year & wonderful photoshoots - and then paused because I knew no Reel could capture what this year has held in all the joy & beauty & sweetness… anddd in the oh so tough moments.

Plus, there are so many special, precious memories captured of dear clients I’ve not yet shared this year while keeping my head down this fall… that I’d literally never be able to narrow them down for a post. 😅 They all deserve their own moments to shine✨- 2023 goals!

So instead, a tiny peek at an impromptu afternoon this fall that never made it to the ‘gram, where we played in leaves & found simple joys as a family… and a couple of my favorite selfies of the year because . Finally, a snap from this morning of Chip being a human jungle gym post-call… what so much of our daily life looks like raising and loving two boys and working hard to care for our family and for others.

This year wasn’t necessarily as glam as previous years, but it sure was memorable. It was full of real life and joy and hardship and taking each day as it comes, and now me coming to say a heartfelt THANK YOU on behalf of the little family you see here.

Your friendship, client relationships, trust in my work, kind DMs and words of encouragement, and more fuels us all & opens the door for moments like these. You being a part of this little business and life means more than I could ever express.

Capturing your legacies never ceases to remind me just how important it is to dedicate moments to building and growing and documenting our own. I’ve felt that this year more than ever.

From maternity leave with our dear Elliott to putting roots down in our new home we adore…
To broken ankles and illness & being forced to slow down and let go and reevaluate…
To a fall full of photoshoots captured & getting back into a routine of work, life, and cherishing those around us in it all.
To Chip’s growing practice, and our growing boys.

2022 was a year for the books. Here’s to more of the best of it, and letting the hard mold us into more intentional versions of ourselves in 2023. Here’s to you and yours! Happy new year, friends!

Sweet baby Agnes is here! Hannah & Tram are one of our very dearest couple friends, and they love our boys like their own, so getting to see them become parents and being close by is the most fun. We popped over for a visit and a snuggle and a Pub sub… and a few photos in baby Agnes’ nursery featuring art and books and tapestries (and big fur sis Mimi!) from their time living/working abroad and their travels!

They have asked us many a parenting advice over the years, but I already know without a doubt that we will be gleaning so much more wisdom from these two in the coming years. Congrats, friends! We love y’all!
