The Atlanta Dental Center has been serving patients in Atlanta since 1982. We offer a high-paced clinical environment with the latest dental technology (CEREC, 3D X-Rays, Digital X-Rays, Advanced Oral Photography, paperless patient charts, etc.). Our doctors are highly accomplished amongst their peers with Fellowships and Accreditations in a variety of dental associations. We do not participate in any insurance networks, however, we do accept insurance and we see many new patients every day we are open. We also have specialist dentists on staff, including a Periodontist. We have full-time employment (40hrs) for all staff.

Your Mission:

Your primary mission is to graciously, professionally and in a very friendly manner, speak with potential new patients both on the phone and in person, following our office policies on how to properly schedule them for their initial appointment in our office. This is an entry-level position.

Specific responsibilities & duties:
• Following up with potential new patients, by phone and email, and scheduling them for their initial appointment in our office
• Greeting potential patients and visitors in person with a welcoming smile and a friendly – yet professional manner
• Ensuring that the quota of properly scheduled and arrived new patients is met or exceeded each week
• Creating & updating patient files in Dentrix software
• Properly scheduling new patients for their initial appointment
• Maintaining and submitting correct statistics for the post
• Other administrative and organizational duties, as assigned, associated with front office duties

Required qualifications:
• Ability to answer the phone all day long with a smile in your voice
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent phone skills
• Ability to present a genuinely friendly, welcoming, and professional demeanor at all times
• Competent computer skills required
• Dentrix software skills are a plus.
• Must speak and write English fluently and clearly.
• Dental experience/knowledge is not required

Required personality and behavioral characteristics:
• Phone Sales experience is a plus

• Quick to learn
• No holding on to upsets or disagreements
• High duplication of tasks and directions and details
• Responsible for job and patient

Your two primary missions are to:

2) Process and send insurance claims and pre-estimates for the services that patient either received or may receive.

Specific responsibilities and duties:
• Processing payments from patients and recording them on the ledgers
• Processing and sending insurance claims on behalf of the patient for services performed
• Processing and sending insurance pre-estimates on behalf of the patient for potential services
• Scanning and recording any papers created as a result of the patient’s visit
• Creating and updating patient files in Dentrix software
• Reprocessing/resubmitting insurance claims with photos, narratives, etc., when needed
• Graciously, professionally and in a very friendly manner helping patients with any questions regarding their visit
• Calling on claims not yet received to get the claim processed by the insurance company
• Other administrative and organizational duties, as assigned, associated with front office duties

Required qualifications:
• Ability to accurately account for funds paid by a variety of payment methods (cash, check, credit, 3rd party financing)
• Excellent and accurate math skills
• Excellent multitasking
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent phone skills
• Ability to present a genuinely friendly, welcoming, and professional demeanor at all times
• Competent computer skills required and ability to quickly learn new software
• Dentrix software skills are a plus.
• Must speak and write English fluently and clearly.
