This past week we had the opportunity to speak at Vertex Micro Fest, a global festival bringing together creators, filmmakers, producers, writers, platforms, and innovators who are shaping the future of vertical storytelling.
One of the best parts of the day wasn't just speaking, it was learning.
We got a master class on casting in the vertical age from Rhavynn Drummer & George Lott! We got an exclusive demo on an incredible new platform for filmmakers, FilmPro by Alex Lugo! Marquelle Young, Michelle Rubinstein & Lindsey Lee put on an incredible panel about the current state of Micro Dramas and gave away SO many practical pieces of advice on how to execute in the micro drama space. Nate Parker finished it out sharing about his journey in the industry and letting us know how he and his team at Mansa are WINNING in the vertical world. It's always refreshing to be surrounded by people who are pushing the industry forward and openly sharing what they're learning.
Our session focused on 7 ways to shoot your micro drama lean and fast without sacrificing quality. We shared our story of how we shot 90 episodes in just 4 days. We also invited cast members of Mama's House on stage to share advice for aspiring actors and actresses looking to break into the world of vertical storytelling.
A huge thank you to Jose Martinez and the entire Vertex team for creating a space for creatives to learn the future of verticals and network with great individuals in the industry!
To everyone who attended our session, thank you for your time, your questions, and your energy. We genuinely appreciate it.
The vertical storytelling space is evolving incredibly fast, and it's exciting to be part of the conversation helping shape where it's headed.
