It's showing us that relationship-building, networking, & interpersonal communication are currently the most sought-after skills.

Even topping other hard-tech skills like AI and engineering.

The people who build staggering networks know this simple truth: 👀

It doesn't happen overnight.

It takes time, patience, consistency, and most of all: maintenance. 🔥

Elaine Glencoe, MSc, PCC and I have known each other for almost a decade now. 🤯

Last month was our first time meeting up!

Over the years, we've grown a deep friendship & real level of professional respect.

Plus we both share a fairly quirky sense of humor. 😂

This is how massive networks are built:

Not by looking exclusively for the next client or customer.

But by adding layer upon layer of good, mutually beneficial dialogues until a solid foundation is formed. 🧱

So wonderful to share breakfast this weekend with one of the best friends I've made on LinkedIn. 🍳

Patient network-building may not seem fast of chic.

At first.

But that's how you create continued access & scalability long-term. 📈

Atlanta, I'm too humbled by this recognition & honor! 🏆

This is simultaneously a culmination & a beginning. 🚀

So grateful to Startup Atlanta and the ATL community for this.

When I came back to Atlanta from Boston 10 years ago, I was almost exclusively in the music industry.

Instead of founders, VCs, and technologists, I knew bands, promoters, and venue owners. 🎸

As funny as it sounds, the music world is where I learned how to really build & scale relationships.

Now, it's a head trip to find myself steeped in the startup entrepreneurial space.

But networks don't get replaced -- they grow.

This is the mindset I try to bring every day to The Zero to One Networker. 📈

In the time since I've been on the ATL tech scene, I've had the pleasure of mentoring & advising (Atlanta Tech Village, Fusen World, ATDC, & The Hatchery, Emory Center for Innovation), collaborating (Atlanta Tech Week, LinkedIn Local ATL,& ), and repping Atlanta as much as I can (SXSW, SHRM VT).

It's immensely invigorating to be a part of such a collaborative & supportive community. 🌟

Build networks through patience, gratitude, & authenticity.

I had such a great time yesterday speaking with the new ITAV cohort at the Atlanta Tech Village! 😎

These founders came prepared to supercharge their networking! ⚡

It always stands out to me when there's a great dialogue dynamic in the room, and that was certainly the case yesterday.

Part of building great networks is by becoming ubiquitous in the community.

And one of the best ways you can do this is by helping and creating value for others. 🙌

The best networkers are consistent bridge-builders.

They are always looking for new conversations to have.

That's the core of what I teach, and what The Zero to One Networker is all about. 🚀

Plus I always get to bring my Boy Meets World humor a few great gifs to the convo! 😆
