Creating better relationships with your customers can help with getting them to come back and shop again. If you’re providing an amazing customer experience then those 1st time shoppers will easily turn into raving fans. Here’s 5 things you can do to keep them coming back:

1. Offer Loyalty Programs 🎖️we’re talking points, discounts, and rewards to incentivize customers to return
2. Provide a Great Customer Experience ⭐️ make it easy for customers to get answers to their questions, write a handwritten thank you note, and even offer a discount on the next purchase
3. Personalize the Shopping Experience 🛍️ set up automated emails to go out to your 1st time customers with targeted marketing campaigns showing them what they like

Spring is in the air! 🌻If you haven’t had a chance yet to do a Spring cleaning for Q2 then make these 5 changes today.

1. 📧 Refresh your email automations. Since these emails are automatically being sent out you probably forgot what was inside, review your emails to make sure the content is still relevant and that all links are still working

2. 👕 Audit your products + collections. Make room for new inventory. Out with the old in with the new. Move out the old inventory by offering a special or giving a discount. Review what your customers are actually buying and make adjustments.

3. 📝 Conduct a survey with your customers. The best way to get feedback is straight from the people who are buying your products. Send out a survey to your tribe and see what they are interested in and ask for ways to improve. Tip: people love to give their 2 cents so offer them an incentive to get their feedback

4. 💻 Audit your website in incognito mode. If you visit your website frequently, then you’ve been cookied so you may not see pop-ups that first-time visitors see. Review what your site looks like and make sure there arent any duplicate pop ups, broken links, missing pages, etc.

5. 👥 Revisit your ideal customer. Knowing your customer is 🔑. Go back and write out who is truly your ideal customer to learn more about how they would interact with your brand and how to market to this specific audience.

Does all this ‘recession’ talk have you in a frenzy? 🤯 Well let’s talk about preparation! It all comes down to what you’re focusing on. So here is where your focus should turn to:

1. Highest Value Customers: have you ever heard the saying it’s easier to retain a current customer than it is to acquire a new one? Well that’s the truth, customers with a high customer LTV (lifetime value) will buy from you repeatedly because they are loyal to your brand. Turn your focus on nurturing them and wheeling them back to your brand.

2. Highest Value Products: which products are your customers seeing the most value in? It’s most likely the product your highest value customers are spending the most on. Put your focus into marketing these products more, beef up the product pages, and even offer special promotions for these products.

3. Highest Value Social Channels: is it email campaigns, organic Instagram post, Google ads, FB ads that’s bringing in the sales? Shift your marketing dollars to the channel thats bringing you the highest ROI…in this recession we need to be strategic, reduce costs, and increase profits in all ways possible!

Facebook and Instagram Shops are a great way for you to reach your customers where they already are. Shoppers can browse, explore, and purchase products directly on Facebook and Instagram without having to leave BUT… we come across a lot of clients who are wondering why the heck their FB/IG shop isnt working.

Here are a few to-dos to make sure you are ready to set up shop:

1. You are a Business Manager admin. Be sure that you’ve created a Facebook Business Manager account by going to facebook.business.com this is where all the action happens when creating ads, setting up shop, and managing post on both platforms.

2. Your page and Instagram business account are connected to the same Business Manager account. You must have an Instagram Business account to do this AND you have to make sure it’s connected to the same business manager account as your FB page. To convert your IG to a business page go to Settings > Account > Switch to Professional Account

3. You have managing permissions for your page. If you’re not the admin make sure whoever is setting up your shop for you has permissions to access your FB page.

4. You have managing permissions for your catalog. Make sure the person managing your shop also has this permission.

5. You have a website for your business. Our top choice is Shopify of course + you can easily sync your catalog to start selling

Is SMS marketing incorporated into your marketing strategy? SMS for ‘short’ is Short Message Service, which pretty much is a way to send text message campaigns, promotions, updates, and so much more to shoppers who have opted in (please make sure they opted in)

The good part about SMS and Email marketing is it’s owned marketing…these folks opted into your marketing and are now ready for you to give them the content they want!

2 Ways to Use SMS:

🟡 Send promotional messages. Offering a new product, have a special sale, want to share company announcements, have an event to promote? All of these can be shared through an SMS message to quickly get to your shopper

🟡 Send transactional messages. Tracking the status of an order is one of our fav things to do (even if the order was just placed seconds ago 🤣), but wouldn’t it be so much fulfilling if you just received a text instead once the item was shipped? Send text to your customers for order confirmations, shipping notifications, and delivery updates. You can even use SMS to send out your automated welcome text or abandoned cart notifications.
