Deloitte engaged MaxMedia to tackle a unique data-visualization challenge: How to turn a defense contractor’s 1,500-step process for building and maintaining the bleeding-edge combat aircraft into a relatable and easy-to-understand executive-level interface. And all that on an 84-inch, high-resolution multi-touch screen that needs to operate disconnected from the Internet.

See for yourself how MaxMedia's designers and developers showed Deloitte how processes, projects, and systems can interact in new and profitable ways—on a VERY big screen.

At MaxMedia, we ❤️ dogs.

Anyone who's been to our Westside ATL office has likely been greeted by a pack of smallish employee-owned doggos. This isn't some random quirk of our agency culture—it's something that provides direct and measurable benefits to our team and guests:

1) Ours in a fast-paced and stressful . Wether they're your dogs or not, a good boi ready for pets is a significant self-care opportunity for everyone.
2) The dogs are a reminder that empathy is the cornerstone of everything we do—and they're good practice putting that empathy into action.
3) In a post-smoking workplace, MaxMedia's dogs offer an occasional and necessary break from the computer screen (otherwise, they offer an occasional and necessary clean-up opportunity in our warehouse office, LOL).

Oh, and if you're wondering what qualifies a dog to visit our office with their hooman? Size isn't the deciding factor. Rather, good bois just need to:

1) Get along with the other dogs
2) Be (mostly) quiet
3) Be housebroken, duh

If you're a client, ask about bringing your doggo with you next time you pop by the office. And if you're an employee candidate, be sure to ask us about how the dogs impact our work-life balance. We ❤️ talking about our good bois.

(FYI: ’s doggos, Mack and Lulu—pictured above—love the commute and sitting at conference tables but hate it when he runs out for Chipotle.)

.co recently released its annual list of leaders and top performers for 2022, specifically highlighting the UI/UX design industry. And, once again, MaxMedia tops the lists:

#1 in UX Strategy
#4 in User Research
#7 in Usability Testing

Not too shabby.

But for those unfamiliar with Clutch ranking and the process by which they arrive at them, you might wonder why we value these rankings so highly—both to us and to our customers. Let me tell you…

Whether you're in Orlando or remote anywhere else, we hope you'll join our Executive Design Director, JD Jordan, next Tuesday, March 15 for his irreverent design-process talk, "Sharpen Your D*mn Axe."

Research is critical to the design process. But for freelancers, small companies, startups, and agencies, we don’t have the time or the money or all the people and all the resources we want to make research a part of our process. Even when we have clients invested in design thinking or customer experience, their schedules and budgets don’t give us the flexibility for anything that isn’t actionable or directly relatable to ROI. We’re going to need a deliverable approach.

Ticket's are free and available through DOUX, the Downtown Orlando UX Meetup.

Phoenix Group—a technology conglomerate including a reverse logistics products company, a robotics developer; and a big-data and IoT product firm—came to MaxMedia for help unifying their fleet of companies and products into a single, holistic package online and in print.

In our portfolio, check out how our team began with family-wide refresh of more than twelve company and product brands while our content strategy and copywriting team crafted compelling content. And how our UX and visual design teams combined these influences to create a consolidated website, encouraging exploration and cross-selling.

Our Executive Design Director, JD Jordan, is brining MaxMedia's infamous Iron Unicorn workshop for this year's World IA Day, Pittsburgh!

It's a requirements session workshop combined with a little bit of Who’s Line is it Anyway and Iron Chef—to demonstrate behavioral tools, rhetorical tricks, and creative ways to elicit rather than gather requirements to get the best results. But in a game show format.

Join us online on March 2 for a fun night of improv and design!

At MaxMedia, we believe the fearless sharing of ideas—within our teams and without, too—is critical to exceeding client expectations, to improving peoples’ lives, and to building the most rewarding place for problem solvers to work and thrive.

So, we invite you to take a detailed peek into the first phase of MaxMedia’s design process—Research + Strategy—describing how we deploy a robust toolbox of activities to transform project discovery into something generative and invaluable. It’s an aligning and strategic phase of work that identifies opportunities for innovation and differentiation while indispensably improving every phase of work which follows.

It’s pretty cool.
