One of the annual events that I’m most proud of supporting is the on St. Thomas, which happens during the weekend before the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. Though my involvement with this particular event is extremely personal, I treat it with the same attention and strategic marketing precision as I do all other events, just with a little more love as I help spread the word.

For over a couple decades, I’ve donated strategic marketing services including public relations, media relations, photography, videography, graphic design, live-streaming, website, social media management and more for WE GROW FOOD, INC. through my business, Conch Shell Media, previously named KWANZAA365 Inc.

The past couple years, I’ve been working smarter, not harder, so I contracted out the event photography and left that part for others to do. Grateful to the VI Consortium for highlighting me at this year’s fair.

Though the name has been changed to reflect the growth and significance in a developed understanding of purpose, the general voice and product remains not only the same, but enhanced and continuously improving. As research-based communications and technology efforts formed the foundation of what is now one of the surest methods of advertising to the various audiences in the USVI and beyond.

With 20+ years of experience in successfully "getting the word out," DaraMonifah.com LLC dba Conch Shell Media, offers media, marketing & PR services. Occasional blog posts highlight upcoming or current events on the arts, culture or youth scene.

From the creation and promotion of websites, blogs, social media platforms, mass email and texting to radio and TV production, we've probably done it all and can help to do it for you. Print design media services are also available for logos, stickers, business cards, flyers, posters, booklets, newsletters, magazines and more. Or maybe you need editorial services for text messages, emails, speeches, resumes, books, reports and plans.

DaraMonifah Cooper is a multi-media artist, poet, musician, culture preservationist, public speaker, digital media consultant, community organizer and a proud University of the Virgin Islands Communications alum with a Masters in New Media Journalism from Full Sail University. Born on St. Thomas and literally raised on campus by two UVI professors, now as a mother of three, she works full-time as the Communications, Technology and Distance Learning Communication Specialist with the UVI Cooperative Extension Service. DaraMonifah is also a part-time UVI Communications Instructor, teaching courses including radio broadcasting, public speaking, interpersonal communications and web publishing. Channeling her love of training youth in multi-media, she teaches broadcast engineering (radio with live online audio/video), management and new media to University and high school students as the WUVI Student Radio (& New Media) Station Manager.
