76 year old legendary dance photographer and ballet dancer, is living proof that you don’t have to let age get in the way of your going after your dreams. Keiko takes adult ballet classes four times a week along with tumbling classes. She has photographed Atlanta dancers and dance performances over the past 50 years and counting. took some time out from her hectic schedule to share with how she is staying on pointe after all these years

76 year old legendary Atlanta dance photographer and dancer, Keiko Guest visited EXTRA to share her tips on how to stay fit, flexible, and active at any age!

Born to an African-American father who served in the military and a Japanese mother who loved fashion and dance, Keiko grew up spending the summers at her paternal grandparent’s farm in Alabama while spending the school year in Germany and the US. She started her photography career by chance 50 years ago while dancing with the iconic Ruth Mitchell Dance company in Atlanta. Her first photos were of the company’s performances. Over the years Keiko has photographed thousands of dancers out of her Atlanta studio, along with ballet performances and students at dance studios. She continues to capture dancers and dance performances as only she can. Keiko takes ballet classes 3 to 4 times a week along with tumbling classes and has plans to get back to taking aerial classes soon.

What a joy it was to collaborate with and the rest of the in surprising Eagles Landing Christian Academy students, CJ and Kollin Matthews, for their service to the community through their foundation . CJ founded with his mother at the age of 5 after his she experienced a pregnancy loss. With a goal of providing comfort to kids who are experiencing loss, the foundation organizes blanket giveaways and workshops where kids are empowered to serve their communities in a major way. Today at age 18, CJ is joined by his little brother Kollin in serving the community.
