EmoryRose Photography recently had the opportunity to visit Urban Pie Atlanta through a collaboration with Creative Community Solutions and Lens 2 Pens , and we quickly discovered why this Kirkwood staple has remained a community favorite for nearly 20 years.

Let me tell you—I’m a picky eater, but I don’t think my fork rested for long the entire time I was there.

I thoroughly enjoyed the Jalapeño Cheese Curds and the kick from the handmade dipping sauce. The Caesar Salad, complete with homemade croutons, was fresh and flavorful. Then came the Angel Dream Pie, a hearty Detroit-style pizza inspired by the Atlanta Dream and Angel Reese. It was filling, packed with flavor, and definitely lived up to the hype.

To complement the meal, I sipped on an Atlanta Dream-inspired drink—my version was a mocktail, of course. The drink was presented with the same care as any signature cocktail, making it feel elevated and sophisticated.

Then dessert arrived. As someone who rarely eats sweets, my fork was in motion once again. The bold lemon flavor was the perfect finish to the meal, and I found myself enjoying every last lemony crumb.

As Urban Pie continues to expand its vegan and gluten-free menu options, I already know I’ll be back to see what they’re serving up next. Between the welcoming atmosphere, thoughtful menu offerings, and commitment to inclusivity, it’s easy to see why this Kirkwood favorite continues to thrive and evolve.

For those who enjoy supporting local businesses and experiencing the unique spaces that help strengthen our communities, Urban Pie’s relaunch event takes place on June 2, beginning at 5:00 PM. Guests can enjoy free food for the first 30 attendees, drink specials, and more before settling in to watch the Atlanta Dream take on the Connecticut Sun later that evening. It’s another opportunity to celebrate a woman-owned business that continues to invest in community, create welcoming experiences, and bring people together around great food and shared connections.

We recently had the opportunity to visit Urban Pie Atlanta through a collaboration with Creative Community Solutions and Lens 2 Pens, and it didn’t take long to see why this Kirkwood staple has remained a community favorite for nearly 20 years.

As a picky eater, I can honestly say my fork barely rested the entire visit! From the Jalapeño Cheese Curds and handmade dipping sauce to the Caesar Salad with homemade croutons and the hearty Angel Dream Pie inspired by the Atlanta Dream and Angel Reese, every bite was memorable.

I also enjoyed an Atlanta Dream-inspired mocktail that was crafted with the same care and presentation as any signature cocktail. And then dessert arrived… As someone who rarely eats sweets, I surprised myself by enjoying every last lemony crumb.

The 4th Annual PeachState Boxing Showcase brought together rising talent, competitive matchups, and an atmosphere built on discipline, preparation, and pride. Fighters from across the region stepped into the ring ready to perform, represent their gyms, and leave everything in the ring.
