A day full of learning, connection, and community! 💙

As part of Leadership Columbia County Class of 2027, I started my morning attending the Columbia County Development & Planning Services Committee meeting. I had no idea these meetings even existed! It was eye-opening to see the behind-the-scenes work that goes into shaping the community where I live, work, and raise my family.

Later, I met alumni from previous Leadership Columbia County classes and heard their experiences. One thing I heard more than once? They’d do the program all over again! 🙌

I’m grateful for this opportunity and excited for everything this year will bring. I’d love to see more opportunities in the future for alumni and current classes to connect, share, and build relationships.

Today was a full day of learning, connection, and getting a little more involved in the community I’m proud to call home. 💙

As part of my Leadership Columbia County Class of 2027 experience, I started the morning by attending the Columbia County Development & Planning Services Committee meeting at the Ronald Reagan Building.

I’ll be honest, I didn’t know what to expect, and I didn’t even realize these meetings were happening! It was another eye-opening learning experience and a reminder of just how much behind-the-scenes work goes into planning and developing the community where we live, work, and raise our families.

I’m looking forward to attending more committee meetings throughout the Leadership Columbia County program and learning more about the many moving pieces that make our community what it is.

Later, I had the opportunity to attend the Meet the Class of 2027 Leadership Columbia County luncheon at Warren Baptist Church. I loved meeting alumni from previous classes, hearing about their experiences, and learning about the events and projects they participated in during their time in the program.

One thing I heard from multiple alumni really stuck with me: they would do it all over again. That made me even more excited for the year ahead!

I would love to see an opportunity in the future to bring more alumni together for a meet-and-greet with current and future classes. There is so much experience, knowledge, and community connection within the alumni network, and I think there’s tremendous value in continuing those relationships.

Grateful for the opportunity to learn, connect, and become more involved in the community I’m raising my family in. I’m excited to see where this year takes us!

Kicking off the Leadership Columbia County Class of 2027 (btw THE BEST CLASS) this week was an incredible experience!

We started our first day on Thursday and wrapped up the week at Camp Gravatt in Aiken. Between all the high-energy team building, non-stop laughter, and moments I know I’ll be giggling about for years to come, it was the absolute best way to launch this 10-month journey.

I’m so grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow alongside such an inspiring, talented group of leaders. I genuinely love being a part of this class and can’t wait for everything we’re going to accomplish together for our community over the coming months!

Heart health is wealth! ❤️

I had such an inspiring time at the Women in Business luncheon with the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce today listening to Avril James, MPH, CHES, share her incredible knowledge on stress resilience, holistic wellness, and her work with the Piedmont Women’s Heart Program.

Hearing her talk about preventive care was a huge wake-up call about how important it is to look out for the people we love. It inspired me to take action right on the spot. I scanned the QR code at the event and booked my mama a heart health appointment, just to be safe.

Sometimes we all need that gentle reminder to prioritize our family's health!

Great morning networking at First Friday Means Business with the Aiken Chamber! ☕️✨

It was fantastic getting to explore the new Young Center for Research & Innovation, connect with local leaders, and hear insightful updates from Megan Pruitt with Aiken Corporation.

Out-of-home advertising is all about local connection, and events like this are a great reminder of how vibrant our CSRA business community is. Loved catching up with so many familiar faces and meeting new ones—including Will Ware with Smash My Trash of Augusta! 🗑️🚛
