Yesterday, our hearts were broken by the loss of a deputy who gave her life in the line of duty.

We extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends, fellow deputies, and the entire community she faithfully served. Thank you for your courage, your sacrifice, and your commitment to protecting others. Your service will never be forgotten. 💙🖤

This opportunity to show our support came about because a fellow Lamar employee from her hometown reached out, asking what we could do to help. Without hesitation, we stepped in.

Moments like these remind me why Lamar is such an incredible company. The connections we have stretch far beyond offices and state lines. No matter where we are, we come together to support our communities and those who serve them.

The Class of 2027 will be led by program Chair Alex Griffin (LCC ’23), Assistant Vice President of Innovation at the Medical College of Georgia Foundation, and program Vice Chair Carey Pifer (LCC ‘15), Managing Broker, Summerhouse Realty.

The rigorous selection process for each LCC class identifies individuals with a proven track record of achievement and a strong commitment to civic engagement. The program is designed to cultivate and inspire the next generation of leaders through immersive learning experiences, community engagement, and networking opportunities.

The Leadership Columbia County program will officially launch in August followed by monthly sessions focusing on critical aspects of community leadership, including county operations, economic development, education and workforce, military, law enforcement, history, state government, and healthcare.
