Made the road trip out to Peoria, and let the drive to Bayleaf Indian Restaurant was worth it. 🚗💨
The aroma hits you the second you walk through the doors, and the food completely backs it up. Rich, complex spices, deeply comforting curries, and incredible hospitality made this meal unforgettable. If you appreciate authentic Indian cuisine that actually delivers on bold flavor, this spot needs to be on your radar.

I caught up with artist Jen Byrne while she was in full flow at Kai Modern Kitchen. She broke down her process and shared her passion for public murals and seeing her bring these cherry blossoms to life was incredible. Fun fact: she’s also the mastermind behind the paper art covering the walls next door at Giardino’s Pizzeria!
If you’re a business or property owner looking for a statement public art piece, Jen Byrne is definitely an artist worth hiring.

If you're craving authentic Jamaican flavors, you've gotta check out Jam Rock BBQ Jerk! From the moment you bite into that tender, perfectly seasoned jerk chicken, you know it's the real deal. They’re serving up massive plates packed with rich curry, savory greens, mac and cheese, and sweet yams that just melt in your mouth. Wash it all down with a classic Ting or Jamaican soft drink, and don't forget extra jerk sauce for the road. The food is incredible, the vibe is right, and I highly recommend stopping by to grab a plate!
