First of all let me ask, would you ever provide a product or service to a client or customer that is just “good enough”? If you said no, but your website was just thrown together quickly or it is stuck in the early 2000’s, I hate to break it to you, but you are. If you said yes, you can probably stop reading this post, it’s not for you.

I’ve heard many times “oh my website is fine” or “it has enough information to get by” or “eh nobody looks at it anyway”. Let me say this it’s probably not fine, it probably doesn’t display the most important information in a way that is easy to read, digest or find, and trust me, people do look at it.

Your website is your brand and first impressions matter. Right now, especially, it is your handshake and your first hello to a potential client or customer.

Small businesses, new or old, have lots of competition. These days almost everyone, more specifically around *84% of US Adults according to a 2016 study done by American Institutes for Research, are digitally literate. And those adults rely heavily on reviews or recommendations to make decisions between similar businesses or products. They care about the brands they choose to support.

In summary, your website matters because your entire brand matters. Take the time to think about how you are displaying your company image online.
