Sometimes less is more, yes, even with social media. If you have tried these four tips and your engagement is still not improving, it might be time to take a step back.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Taking a break from posting content can give you the time you need to revamp your strategy, content, captions, etc. Posting more does not always equal more engagement, followers, and so on.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I recently had a client complain that their reels didn't perform well. This was because I had posted an IGTV less than an hour before they decided to upload two reels – back to back. This is an overload of content that could have performed better if a strategy had been followed.

A new week of fresh content is ahead of us! ✨I want to challenge you to think about your content and the value it is providing before hitting that 'Publish' button.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Your content can provide value in more than one shape or form. Think about the end goal of someone consuming your content. What action do you want them to take? How do you want your content to make them feel? 📲
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Publishing content for the sake of keeping your feed/profile going is not the best strategy. Content can do a lot for your brand, but only if you have a strategy for it. When you read about providing value through your content, it doesn't mean it has to always be an in-depth post. You can publish a quote that is motivational, a meme that will make your followers laugh, and so on.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Did this help you? I'd love to know! Don't forget to like and share if it did.

My face when a client wants to learn about ✨ SOCIAL SELLING ✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Chances are that you have a product and/or service that you want to sell online. Naturally, your first step is to add this product/service to your website/blog/etc. but thanks to the powers of Instagram and Facebook, you have the ability to extend your sales efforts to your social media profiles – this is what we call Social Selling!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You might think to yourself, "But isn't selling on my website enough?" The short answer is no. If you want to stay ahead of the competition and keep up with changing consumer behavior, then you need to take your digital selling a step further and start selling on social media.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After all, you want to make it as convenient as possible for consumers to purchase your products/services. And where are people spending most of their time these days? Bingo! On social media platforms.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
74% of consumers say they rely on social media for information to help them in future purchases. This should be reason enough to start setting up those IG and FB shops! 📲 Need help getting started? Send me a private message!

🍁 Fall Marketing and Social Media Ideas 🍁
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As a Texas gal, I know fall temperatures are still a few weeks away so I'll enjoy my iced lattes for as long as I can before I switch over to hot coffee. But this doesn't mean that I'm putting off planning for the fall + winter seasons. On the contrary, I am working up some great ideas for my clients!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Are you taking advantage of the season's opportunities to promote your business? If you answered 'No' take a look at these ideas below that will help your business *stand out* 👇
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🔹 Launch an IG photo contest – Invite followers to post photos of themselves doing their favorite fall activities with a designated hashtag from your business. Choose a winner and offer them a free gift, and re-gram the photo on your account.

🔹 Offer an appealing deal – The fall + winter seasons are all about making that sale & savings! Entice your followers by offering them a deal on your product/services. Promote this on social media as well as storefront signage, email campaigns. etc.
🔹 Bring in the experts – Identify common problems among your customers and designate a day to offer the expertise of your staff and outside consultants with free or discounted consultations (these can be done in-store or virtually!).

Memes – we love them, we love to share them, we love to laugh at them 😂, so why are they not a part of your content strategy yet?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Memes have been king on IG for a while now, but they were typically reserved for meme accounts only. We've seen that change in 2020 particularly. Brands and businesses are now adding memes to their content mix, making their feeds feel more authentic and fun.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here are 4 tips on how to begin adding memes to your content:
🔸 Make sure to stay on-brand with the memes that you post and consider your audience before choosing memes.
🔸 Do your research on what the meme means and where it came from to avoid coming off as offensive or tone-deaf. Memes are re-produced by several online users, so the original intention of it can get lost.
🔸 Have a second pair of 👀 review the memes before publishing.
🔸 Use timely and trending memes. 2020 is a hot mess, to say the least, but it has produced a plethora of meme content.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Memes are a great way to be relatable, stay relevant, and encourage your audience to engage with your brand! If you found this helpful, remember to save and share. 😊

As a freelancer, Austinite, and someone who comes from a family of business owners, I am a BIG supporter of small businesses. I know I am not the only freelancer out there that cringes when they think about how much $ she contributes to coffee shops & such. But without these small businesses, our world would not be the same.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This week is and I am telling you how you can support small businesses in your city for FREE! That's right – for FREE. Make sure to save & share it with your followers! You might not be able to visit your local businesses right now, but several are offering curbside pick-up & to-go services that you can use to show your support ❤️

As a business owner considering your online presence, you might ask yourself the following questions:

1. What is the difference between social media marketing & management?
2. Do I need both?

Swipe through the images above where I’ve provided some insight into these questions. It’s important to think of these entities as two sides of a brain – they’re both different but necessary to function & to create something of value.

Please save & share if you found this useful!

Even though COVID-19 created some difficulties for my clients, I've been working on keeping their content up-to-date and relevant. There's no better way to get visibility and good cash flow than by sharing content that:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1. Is relatable.
2. Provides value.
3. Creates a reaction.
4. Is high-quality.
