This weekend, we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Memorial Day is a time for reflection, remembrance, and gratitude for those who never made it home and for the families who continue carrying their memory forward.

We honor their sacrifice and remember them today with respect and appreciation.

We also salute the men and women, like our friend Jan Scruggs, who have dedicated their lives to keeping the memory of our fallen alive. Crosswind is proud to have worked to support the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund

Texas economic development took center stage across Europe as leaders, innovators, and organizations from across the state joined the Texas Economic Development Corporation’s international business mission through the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Germany.

From London to Amsterdam to Berlin, the weeklong mission focused on strengthening international partnerships and showcasing Texas’ continued leadership in business, infrastructure, energy, technology, and investment.

Crosswind PR joined the delegation as our own Laura Ladewig traveled alongside economic development leaders, public officials, and industry partners representing Texas on a global stage.

Thank you to the Texas Economic Development Corporation, the Office of Texas Governor Greg Abbott, and all delegation partners for the opportunity to be part of such an impactful international mission.

America Reads the Bible became more than a livestream. It became a nationwide moment centered around Scripture, storytelling, and shared connection.

Hosted at the Museum of the Bible and streamed nationally through Great American Pure Flix, the weeklong initiative brought audiences across the country together in recognition of America’s upcoming 250th anniversary celebration.

Crosswind PR worked alongside Great American Media and Pure Flix in support of strategic partnerships, outreach, coordination, and broader awareness surrounding the initiative and its national reach.

THANK YOU, APRIL!

After nearly a decade of extraordinary service, our General Manager and the steady hand at the center of so much of what Crosswind does - April Lyn Dang - is moving on to her next chapter.

April joined Crosswind as our Operations Manager, quickly earning the trust and respect of everyone around her. She rose to become our No. 2, serving as General Manager and overseeing the full scope of agency operations - from project ex*****on and team performance to financial strategy and client experience across our Texas offices. For nearly ten years, she was the person who made sure everything ran right.

What set April apart wasn’t just her skill set - though that was formidable, shaped by 20 years of leadership in global finance and banking before she ever walked through our door. It was the way she worked: fiercely committed, always careful, and relentlessly focused on doing things the right way. She brought that same standard to every project, every client, and every member of this team.

She navigated fast-moving challenges with calm authority. She led with integrity. And behind the scenes, she was often the person keeping everything together - solving problems before anyone else saw them, keeping teams aligned, and making sure clients and staff alike were always taken care of. She left this agency better - stronger, smarter, and more capable - than she found it.

April, thank you. For your years of dedication. For your tireless care. For the mark you’ve left on this agency and the people in it. We are proud to have worked alongside you, and we are cheering loudly for whatever comes next.

Happy San Jacinto Day!

190 years ago today marks Texas’ triumphant victory at the 1836 Battle of San Jacinto, an 18-minute battle that marked the decisive end of the Texas Revolution.

The Texian army numbered just 935 men. Their courage and fearlessness not only won the day but also shaped the bold and independent spirit of Texas that lives on through the millions of Texans who call this great state home.
