HVAC companies that rank on Google get most of the calls.

Not some of them.
Not evenly split.

👉 Most.

When someone in Texas searches:
“AC repair near me” or “HVAC company in Leander / Austin / Georgetown”

They usually call one of the top 3 businesses they see.

If you’re not there…

You’re not even in the conversation.

So why do certain HVAC companies stay at the top?

It’s not random. Google looks at:

1. Reviews (biggest factor)
• high number of reviews
• consistent new ones
• good rating

👉 More reviews = more trust = higher ranking

2. Activity on their profile
• posting updates
• uploading job photos
• responding to reviews

👉 Google favors active businesses

3. Complete + optimized profile
• all services listed (AC repair, installs, maintenance)
• service areas filled out
• website + phone linked
• updated hours

👉 If your profile is incomplete, you won’t rank

4. Real proof of work
Photos of:
• installs
• repairs
• team members

👉 This increases clicks AND builds trust

Here’s what most HVAC companies in Texas do:

• set up their Google profile once
• never update it
• rarely ask for reviews
• don’t post their work

And then wonder why they’re not getting calls.

Here’s what top-ranking companies do instead:

✔ ask for reviews after every job
✔ post photos weekly
✔ stay active on their profile
✔ keep everything updated

This is why they stay at the top — and keep getting the calls.

One Google review can easily be worth $1,000+ for an HVAC company.

Here’s why 👇

When someone in Texas searches:
“AC repair near me” or “HVAC company in Georgetown / Leander / Austin”

They don’t click every option…

They choose the company with:
⭐ more reviews
⭐ better rating
⭐ recent activity

Let’s break it down:

Average HVAC job in Texas:
💰 $300 – $1,200+

If just 1 new customer chooses you because of a review…

That’s already $300–$1,200 from ONE review.

Now multiply that:

👉 10 new reviews = more visibility
👉 more visibility = more calls
👉 more calls = more booked jobs

That’s how reviews turn into thousands in revenue.

Why reviews matter to Google:

Google pushes HVAC companies that have:

• consistent new reviews
• keywords in reviews (AC repair, maintenance, install)
• high response rate
• strong overall rating

👉 More reviews = higher ranking
👉 Higher ranking = more calls

How to actually get more reviews (this is where most HVAC companies fail):

✔ Ask right after the job is done
✔ Send your review link by text (not just “leave a review”)
✔ Say exactly what to mention:

“Would you mind mentioning the service we did?”

✔ Make it part of your process (every single job)
✔ Respond to every review (Google tracks this)

Most HVAC companies in Texas are relying on word of mouth…

But the companies getting the most calls are the ones with
100+ reviews and growing every week.

If you want, drop your Google Maps link below
and I’ll show you how your reviews compare to other HVAC companies in your area 👇

Most HVAC companies in Texas aren’t showing up on Google…
not because of competition — but because their profile isn’t optimized correctly.

Here’s how Google actually decides who ranks 👇

When someone searches:
“AC repair near me” or “HVAC company in Leander, TX”

Google looks at 3 main things:

1. Relevance (Are you clearly an HVAC company?)
If your profile doesn’t clearly say:
• AC repair
• HVAC installation
• emergency service

Google won’t push you.

👉 Make sure your services + keywords are filled out correctly.

2. Distance (How close are you to the searcher?)
You can’t control location — but you CAN control your service areas.

👉 Add all the cities you serve:
Leander, Cedar Park, Georgetown, Round Rock, Austin, etc.

3. Prominence (This is the BIG one)
This is where most HVAC companies lose.

Google looks at:
• Number of reviews
• Quality of reviews
• Photos of real jobs
• Activity on your profile
• Responses to reviews

👉 If another HVAC company has:
200+ reviews, job photos, and consistent updates…

They will outrank you. Every time.

What actually moves you UP in rankings:

✔ Get consistent reviews (every job if possible)
✔ Post real job photos weekly
✔ Respond to every review
✔ Keep your hours + info updated
✔ Add your website + services

Most HVAC companies in Texas are missing at least 3 of these.

That’s why they don’t show up — and why they’re losing jobs to competitors who do.

Most local contractors aren’t struggling because they’re bad at what they do.

They’re struggling because they’re invisible.

I see this all the time with HVAC companies across Texas.

Great work.
Solid reputation.
Years of experience.

But online?

Almost nothing.

No recent photos.
Barely any reviews.
Google profile untouched for months.

Meanwhile, the company down the road…

Is posting every week
Asking for reviews after every job
Keeping their profile active

And they’re the ones getting the calls.

The biggest marketing mistake local contractors make isn’t choosing the wrong strategy.

It’s doing nothing consistently.

Google doesn’t reward the best company.

It rewards the most active, visible, and trusted one.

That’s why the same HVAC companies keep showing up at the top.

And why others — even better ones — get skipped.

You don’t need a complicated marketing plan.

You need:

• consistent reviews
• real job photos
• an active Google profile
• basic visibility

Done every week.

That’s the difference between:

“Business is slow right now”

and

“We’re booked out.”

If you want, drop your Google Maps link below

Most contractors overcomplicate SEO.

But if you run an HVAC, roofing, or home service business in Texas…

You only need to focus on a few key things to start getting more calls.

Here’s the simple version 👇

1. Your Google Business Profile is EVERYTHING

When someone searches:
“AC repair near me” or “roofer in Cedar Park”

Google shows maps listings first — not websites.

👉 If your profile isn’t optimized, you won’t show up.

Start here:
• Make sure all services are listed
• Add every city you serve
• Upload real job photos
• Keep your hours updated

2. Reviews = Ranking + Trust

Google pushes businesses that have:
• consistent new reviews
• high ratings
• responses to customers

👉 No reviews = no visibility
👉 More reviews = more calls

(And yes… reviews literally make you money)

3. Keywords Matter (But Keep It Simple)

You don’t need anything complicated.

You just need your profile and website to clearly say what you do:

• AC repair
• HVAC installation
• emergency HVAC
• roof repair
• roof replacement

👉 If Google doesn’t understand your services, it won’t show you.

4. Post Your Work (Most Contractors Skip This)

Every job you do should turn into:
📸 before & after photos
📍 location tagged
🛠 service described

This tells Google:
“This business is active and real.”

5. Booking the Lead (This is where money is made)

Getting found is step one.

But the companies getting the most jobs also:

• answer the phone fast
• have clear service info
• build trust instantly

👉 Visibility gets the lead
👉 Trust closes the job

Most contractors in Texas are missing at least 2–3 of these.

That’s why they’re not showing up — and why other companies are getting their calls.

Why do some HVAC companies dominate Google Maps?

This company ranks extremely well because they have:

• 400+ reviews
• real team photos
• detailed customer reviews
• a fully optimized Google Business profile

Most HVAC companies are missing at least 2–3 of these things.

That’s why they don’t show up when homeowners search.

Designing this logo was all about creating a feeling — cozy, intentional, and a little bit farmhouse-chic.

For Honey Field Farmer’s Market, I pulled inspiration from neutral home textures, market packaging, and countryside mornings to create something that felt warm yet elevated.

The result: a simple, heartfelt identity that feels just as at home on a candle label as it does on a market tote. 🍯🌾
