Most contractors use a cheap starter strip that doesn’t match the siding… and that’s why the bottom board always looks different.

We don’t do that.

On James Hardie lap siding, we rip down an actual piece of Hardie to create our starter strip. That way the first visible board sits at the exact same angle and thickness as every board above it.

Perfect shadow lines.

Why we don’t do full fascia & soffit replacement on most siding jobs 👇
Pulling everything off usually means tearing into the roof system—and that’s a recipe for problems. We’ll spot-replace where needed, but if it all needs to go? Best move is doing the roof, fascia, and soffit together. Cleaner install. Better protection. Fewer headaches.
