Introducing "Beyond Here" The World’s First Immersive NFT Film, Calling for a Declaration of Digital Independence.
This fine art series is the legacy work of Jeff Zavala aka ZCreative Media. It has been minted on the Ethereum Blockchain as an extremely rare and innovative Film Collection.
As part of this narrative, 4 years in the making, I’ve built a custom metaverse called the “Walled Garden” (link in my bio) using , a virtual and augmented reality platform. The experience is designed to teleport audiences into a journey of discovering digital liberties and self-sovereignty.
With so many mental health issues that are caused by social media, I wanted to make a film that inspires change through education, art and direct action. My goal with the series is to capture the zeitgeist and help to transform it.
You are represented by the he**in of the film Ava (short for Avatar) who escapes the oppression of digital dictatorships to become a founding female, laying the groundwork for a virtual constitutional convention and a digital bill of rights.
After escaping the control of centralized social media algorithms, Ava must draft a declaration of digital independence. With the power of code, she is then free to embrace her destiny and create her own decentralized social media network.
Exponential technologies have the power to transform society for better or worse. That’s why I made this film, because I want to provide understand of some key concepts that I saw missing in the common vernacular. Constructs such as, walled gardens, digital twins, and self-sovereignty are all very important ideas to grapple with. But without an understanding of these, there is a real danger of sleep walking into a dystopian nightmare.
