One of the reasons I love working for myself is because I have a bunch of kind and wonderfully understanding people with whom I work directly.
One of my contracts involves maintaining and managing the UX and client-side operations of the HostGator blog. After several very ruff š months of going back-and-forth troubleshooting compounded server-side blockages with their SysOps team, whom I do not work with very often, I was finally able to get them to help me sort it out for good.
My direct report Blair Williamson sent me this little goody box to thank me for seeing the issues through to their final conclusion. It made me feel very seen and appreciated after months of heavy imposter syndrome and wondering whether I even knew how to internet any more. Regardless of what issues I run into outside of her department, Blair is always there to reassure me that I am doing a good job and that they are super grateful for the work I do, which I forever appreciate. š
