You get your color palette. Every green that actually works on you, laid out right in front of you.
Then you get to the store β and that exact green is nowhere on the rack. So which one is actually closest? That is the part nobody prepares you for going into a color analysis session.
I lived this before I ever became a stylist. I had the palette. I still stood in the fitting room second-guessing myself.
That is exactly why I train my clients to actually see color β not just hand them a palette and send them off to figure out the rest alone. A color analysis session gives you the framework. Learning to use it confidently, under real store lighting, with real clothes that do not come pre-sorted by undertone, is the part that takes a trained eye.
If you have ever second-guessed a color you were sure about a week earlier, you are not doing anything wrong β you have just reached the point in the process where a session alone is not quite enough, and ongoing support is.
Comment "Color Analysis" and I will send you everything you need to get started.
