This week we shot the Ed-Fi Summit for the 3rd year. 🌞
This was their 10 year anniversary. Ed-Fi is a group of education & tech peeps working toward more efficient technology in the education space. My favorite part of photographing is that I get to dive deep into industries that I am not a part of. On the sidelines, I get to learn a lil bit about a lot of things that I normally would never experience.
One of the keynotes (the speaker in the power pink 💗) Dr. Bridget Burns, made me tear up from her speech. You can really tell that the Ed-Fi peeps are really passionate for the right reasons.
Then on Tuesday evening, they celebrated 🎉 with a magical 🦄 evening complete with a surprise appearance from 🥁Crockett high school’s marching band 🤯 (omg it was AWESOME) and .picnic’s jugglers, roaming person dessert table (what?!), caricature artist and typewriter poet.
And yeah, some parts were boring (like when 500 people are going through the lunch buffet) …so I decided to see if I could do a hand-held long exposure.
I kneeled down, leaned against the wall and held my breath. Last photo is the result; and I’m totally happy with it. 😅🤣😅 (Def not a recommended method, lol)
