🚀 Creating TikToks for your business can feel intimidating... trust me, I get it. But here's the thing—you don't need to overthink it. If you've got an amazing product to showcase, just SHOW IT OFF.
Here are my top tips:
1) Be Authentic: Film wherever you feel comfortable—whether it's your store, outside, or even in your car. Your community wants to see YOU, so either step into the spotlight or have a trusted partner/employee be the face of your business. They don't have to be like Flo from Progressive; just make sure they're enthusiastic about being online. Encourage them with incentives; after all, they're stepping into the role of "talent."
2) Talk to your customers like they're your friends. Start thinking of your customers as your community—because they are! Begin with a friendly greeting like "Hey Friends" or "Hey guys!" For instance, "Hey Austin back-to-school shoppers, I wanted to jump on here and let you know about our huge sale on custom notebooks..."
3) Join in on trends. Some are simple and just require you to join the conversation. Here's an idea: "Put a finger down if you've ever nearly melted mowing your lawn in the summer heat..."
4) Use relevant hashtags, music, and aim for consistent posting. Start with once a week and increase gradually. Establish a regular series if possible.
5) Have fun! Social media is about enjoyment and creating a community escape from everyday life. Avoid being overly pushy or serious about yourself.
