How do we stay inspired? 🎨🧵🪡📖

As designers and writers, our work requires a steady stream of creative energy, which can be hard to cultivate when you spend most waking hours inside, behind the blue-glow of a computer screen.

So this summer, we’re prioritizing our hobbies. And it looks different for each of us, but that’s the beauty of bringing multiple creatives together in one space. We’re prioritizing curiosity, self-expression, and discovery over perfection…and seeing what happens!

As book lovers, we jumped at the chance to work with a local public library this past winter. It was incredibly fulfilling to have work where the only goal was to better serve the community; enriching them with free resources, art, activities, and of course, books!

The logo design was a wonderful evolution of The library’s current design, this time placing the iconic Andover building’s cupola as the bookshelf.

We developed a full, scalable design system; inspired by some of our favorite and most memorable books from childhood. From naming the brand colors to designing the bookmarks, every detail was crafted to help the Memorial Hall Library connect with a new generation of readers.

Sometimes one, sometimes a hundred. 👀 Every logo design project begins with pen to paper (and usually a few crumpled pages along the way 🥴).

The final result might look nothing like the first idea, and that’s the fun of it!

We love watching a mark evolve through collaboration and a little creative chaos until it becomes something that may not be perfect to everyone, but feels perfectly right for our client. 💌

Recent collab for a very special project ✨

Working alongside the amazing once again, we helped bring custom illustrations inspired by Gardner’s Multiple Intelligences to life for a friend’s family-owned learning center.

We believe in collaboration and when a project calls for illustration, we love partnering with real artists whose craft brings depth, personality, and humanity to the work.

A meaningful reminder that design is ultimately about people.
