“I wanted to give people an idea of what being a witch is, I guess, like, what it means to me and what being a witch means to me. It’s different for everybody, but for me, it feels like... rising. Because, to come to a point where you say out loud, or even inside yourself as a whisperer, that you’re a witch, or that magic is real, or anything, in general, is to go against, what is considered normal for a lot of us. And it can be such a challenging and confusing time for everyone, not just women, to move through this time and to, you know, come into their own and spiritually awaken. And so that’s why having events like Witch Fest are so important to me, and why I... put events together like this, to really establish community in a place for people to explore themselves, and be in situations with other people that... feel the same way they do. And it just opens up a whole new world when, you know, someone who is just coming into this and just rising up, you know, like a phoenix... to... to do something like this and feel like they’re not alone. And now, as someone who’s been practicing for a few years, it’s so encouraging to speak with other people who are... who have been in this for years, and for so much longer, then I have who understand where I’m at, and... It’s just a sense of community that you have to experience to really understand.”
