We had a blast teaching Cyanotypes at Barton Springs University last week. We worked with teens for six Austin ISD high schools to use natural materials from the area to create designs printed by the sun and water. Did you know that Cyanotype is one of the first forms of photography?!
Amazing Anna Atkins, a botanist and photographer developed (harhar) cyanotype as a way of documenting specimens and also helped pave the way for Cyanotype as a form of art.

Truly, we love art, culture, nature, science and technology. So cool to know about this awesome woman who helped expose (harhar) the public to yhe potential of Cyanotype. Thanks Kate for having us out!

Ohhhhh it’s the end of the first session of summer camp and we already wish summer would never end. Beyond grateful to have shared time with a flock of amazing children and to have worked alongside Ms. Natalia who brought such sweet Nona vibes. Hope everyone’s summer is as going awesome... and if not, get over here and do summer camp with us!

Our pre-k - 1st grade students did a play as their final project this year. They wrote the script, designed and most of their costumes, painted the set, and were amazing actors.
