After installing Avon’s first siren at the top of Wildridge in Spring 2021, Avon is considering additional sirens for the “Northern Hillside Communities” this summer.

The Town of Avon will be doing some testing of a siren speaker box at the O Neal Spur Park and at the Old Fire station in Wildridge on Wednesday April 6th from 1:30PM to approximately 3:00PM. This is a test of a potential siren/speaker box option to evaluate effective sound coverage. This testing is part of a proposed Town of Avon Emergency Alerting System for our Mountain Communities.
