As a Bindery Technician, you’ll support our print and copy department by printing, machine cutting, folding, shrink wrapping, gluing, drilling, and collating digital projects. You may also operate shipping equipment and support additional departments in our Business Operation when needed. You’ll perform routine machine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment and project variations and complete spot checks for quality and consistency.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am to 5:00pm PST
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma/GED equivalent or higher and minimum of two years’ experience in a production or print/mail environment.
Preferred Skills
Bilingual in English & Spanish
Knowledge of print/mail production and/or bindery operations
The ability to operate a computer
Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and troubleshoot and resolve issues
Strong listening, verbal and written communications skills
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
Physical requirements/working conditions
Must be able to move and/or lift 30 lb. packages at any given time, 60 lbs. at other times and move up to 1,200 pounds using a pallet jack.
Requires long periods of standing (e.g., mailroom)
May require prolonged repetitive use of the upper extremities
Exposure to chemicals, equipment, noise and other work conditions typically found in a commercial facility is possible
Required to frequently walk, sit, bend and kneel
Required to use hands and fingers to operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms
Required to climb, balance, stoop, crouch and crawl
Vision abilities include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus
Involves operating heavy machinery and equipment
Compensation
$29,250 - $39,000/year
