Coming soon... ✨

I’m excited to be working on a new website for Bethany Heaton, MS, LCPC, NCC, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Towson, Maryland.

Bethany works with individuals and couples, helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, women’s health, and overall emotional well-being. Her approach combines clinical insight with compassion and a focus on helping people live more intentionally.

The new website will create a warmer, more intentional online home for her practice while making it easier for potential clients to learn about her services and take that first step toward working with her.

Can’t wait to share the finished site soon.

This could be you next 😉

The part you don't usually see...

Hours spent reviewing layouts, refining details, checking mobile views, and asking, "Can this be even better?"

This is the stage where good templates become great ones.

I'm excited to share what I've been building, but first, I'm making sure every click, every section, and every call to action earns its place.

Stay tuned. 👀

I hear the phrase conversion-focused website all the time, but I think it sometimes creates unrealistic expectations.

Can a thoughtfully designed website help you convert more visitors into customers? Absolutely. But your website isn't working alone. Your offer, reputation, messaging, pricing, and the trust you've built all play a role in whether someone decides to work with you.

In my latest LinkedIn newsletter, I'm unpacking why your website is an important piece of the puzzle, but not the entire puzzle, and sharing a few practical ways you can improve your website starting today.

I'd love to hear your thoughts after you read it. Do you think business owners sometimes expect too much from their websites?

One of the phrases I hear most often in the web design industry is conversion-focused web design. I don't have a problem with the phrase itself because I genuinely believe a thoughtfully designed website can improve conversions.

🕸️ A spider doesn't chase its prey; it builds a web that does the work.

Your website can do the same.

Three quick things you can check today:

✔️ Is your main call-to-action easy to find?
✔️ Does your homepage explain who you help within the first few seconds?
✔️ Do you have testimonials or examples of your work to build trust?

Small improvements like these can make a big difference in how your website performs.

If you've been meaning to improve your Squarespace website but don't need a full redesign, my Squarespace Rescue Session is the perfect place to start.

✨ Available through October, we'll focus on the areas that will make the biggest impact without rebuilding your entire site.

I didn't study web design in college.

I studied psychology.

Every website asks visitors to make dozens of tiny decisions.
Can I trust this business?
Am I in the right place?
Is this what I'm looking for?
Should I keep reading?
Should I reach out?

Those aren't design questions. They're human behavior questions.

My background in psychology taught me to think about how people process information, make decisions, respond to visual cues, and navigate uncertainty. Today, I bring that perspective into every website I build.

That's why I care so much about things like clear messaging, intuitive navigation, calls to action that make sense, and reducing unnecessary friction.

A beautiful website is important, but if visitors don't know what to do next, it's not doing its job.

I may not have earned a degree in web design, but I use my psychology education every day.

Because great websites aren't built only for search engines or design awards.

They're built for people.

When most people hire a web designer, they expect a beautiful website. That's certainly part of the job, but it's only a small piece of the value we provide.

One of the biggest advantages of working with a professional happens long before and long after your website goes live. It's the experience we've built by spending hundreds of hours learning the platform, solving problems, and keeping up with the changes that most business owners never have time to follow.
