I’ve never been the type to want what everybody else has.

Even when something was trending, I always found myself searching for pieces that felt a little more unique, a little more intentional, and a little more me.

And lately, I’ve been finding that through designer collaborations 👀

I recently shopped:
✨ Old Navy x Christopher John Rogers
✨ Target x Kalana Barfield Brown
✨ Walmart x Scoop x The Devil Wears Prada 2

…and I’ve genuinely been loving how these pieces have blended into my wardrobe.

In my latest Substack post, I’m sharing:
• The pieces I purchased
• How I’ve styled them so far
• And multiple outfit ideas for each collection

But more importantly, I’m talking about why I think these collaborations are shifting the way we shop and express personal style.

Because style isn’t about wearing the most expensive thing. It’s about wearing pieces that feel aligned with you.

They had everything…but still wanted more.

At theAtlanta trunk show, almost every woman I styled already had the basics:
👉🏽 the suits
👉🏽 the black dress
👉🏽 the staples

So that’s not what they came for. They wanted pieces that felt different.

Not loud. Not trendy. Just elevated.

A better cut.
A thoughtful detail.
Something that made them feel like the next version of themselves.

And my favorite part? They were OPEN!

Open to stepping outside of what’s familiar.
Open to being styled—not just dressed.

Because here’s the truth:

You’re not stuck because you don’t have clothes.
You’re stuck because you’re seeing your style the same way you always have.

That’s where I come in 💫

Let me tell you what I’ve been noticing this week…

A lot of women are shopping based on what looks good—
not based on what actually fits them.

And that’s the disconnect.

Not knowing your inseam.
Not understanding your proportions.
Buying things that don’t align with your body or lifestyle.

So even when you have clothes…
your closet still doesn’t work.

I pulled together all the styling hacks I’ve been sharing this week into one post.

Petite. Average. Tall.
What to look for. What to avoid. What actually works.

It’s live on Substack now.

Saved the best for last 😌

This is hands down my favorite look. I love a monochromatic moment—it’s chic, effortless, and especially flattering for petites because it naturally elongates the frame.

But what really brings this look to life is the contrast.

The black and off-white polka dot trench adds just enough interest without overpowering the outfit, while the pointed toe bo**ie helps lengthen her legs even more.

From the wide-leg denim to the fitted top and oversized outer layer—everything works together to create a look that feels polished, elevated, and powerful.

This is Mia stepping fully into her presence.

Denim—but make it different.

This skirt may not be A-line, but the side slit does all the work when it comes to flattering Mia’s shape.

I layered a feminine lace tank with an oversized button-up to reflect her love for relaxed silhouettes—while still creating balance.

Finished with sneakers and a hat for that effortless, sporty feel she loves.

This is actually one of my favorite looks because it shows how you can rethink denim.

It doesn’t always have to be jeans or shorts.

A denim skirt like this? It’s a breath of fresh air.

Effortless style—done with intention.

This denim dress may look simple, but every detail works for Mia’s shape.

The A-line silhouette gently skims over her hips.
The puff sleeves add balance to her upper body.
And the v-neckline elongates her frame beautifully.

It’s an easy, throw-on-and-go piece that fits seamlessly into her lifestyle as an entrepreneur.

Styled with sneakers here—but just as easy to dress up with heels, sandals, or bo**ies.

Proof that simple doesn’t mean basic.

Balance is everything.

For this look, I defined Mia’s waist with a fitted top, then paired it with wide-leg culottes to softly graze over her hips—creating a silhouette that flatters her perfect pear-shaped frame.

And because she’s 5’2”, I skipped the traditional full-length pant and chose culottes, knowing they would fall at just the right length on her without overwhelming her frame.

This is what intentional styling looks like—every detail considered.

She loves oversized—but it has to be done strategically.

Mia is petite with a perfect pear-shaped frame, which means too much volume can easily overwhelm her and hide her shape.

So instead of eliminating oversized silhouettes, I refined them.

This trapeze dress gently skims over her hips, while the structured white button-up layered underneath brings balance to her upper body—creating a more intentional proportion.

And of course, we finished the look with silver sneakers to reflect her lifestyle: on-the-go, hands-on, and still wanting to feel put together.

This is what it looks like when style meets strategy.
