Does it make sense to place ads on Linkedin? Several years ago I would have told you no. It was a waste of money and that there were other methods that were more effective. BUT

Recently we have noticed that Linkedin has improved the advertising platform. You can now do targeting that used to be possible on Facebook but is no longer available. The leads we are getting from Linkedin ads are more expensive but the respondents have much higher intent so it is cost effective. Contact me if you would like to find out more.

A new client just sent the following from a prospective customer:

"Hi Ieasha. Thank you. Someone responded to my chat also. Great website — offering email and chat! I will call and ask for you when I have a few moments."

They have been amazed how much business they were missing by not having a chat feature on their website. It helps them in a number of other ways as well. If you know any businesses who want to capture more business, I would love a referral.

Is Your Response Time Days, Hours, or Seconds?
If It is Not SECONDS, You are LOSING BUSINESS

People assume they can treat an online lead like they can a referral. With a referral, you can probably get back to the person the next day. If you do that online, they have already found someone else.

Do you have automated responses set up for leads from your website? If not, why not. You could be getting more business with no more advertising than you are doing now. Do you have a Webchat set up on your website? What about Facebook messaging and Google My Business messaging?

Changes to Google that will Hurt your Business

The changes that Google is making will hurt your ranking over time which will hurt your business.
What are those changes?

With Facebook, you always stayed on the platform. With Google, you did a search, got results and went somewhere else. Google is looking to keep people engaged longer so they can make more money.

On your Google business listing (Google My Business or GMB) you should fill it out as fully as possible. Whenever you do a post on LinkedIn or Facebook, you should post to GMB as well. Your posts will only show if they are done weekly.

Google has also set up messaging. You can turn that on and download the app. I also have a universal inbox/CRM software that will handle that, automatically respond and pull other things like Facebook messaging into one place so you don’t miss leads.

Here is where you get hurt.
1. By not filling out your GMB
2. If you take longer than 24 hours to respond to a review (good or bad) it will hurt your ranking.
3. It will not only hurt you if you don’t have messaging set up, but also if you respond slowly. Rather than 24 hours with the reviews, Google is probably looking for response times in minutes, which the software mentioned can handle.

If you don’t make these changes, you will likely see your ranking start to drop and will lose business. If you have questions, message me.

𝗛𝗶 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗢𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 – I see so many of you are not taking advantage of Advertising on this platform! I’m 𝗻𝗼𝘁 talking about “𝗯𝗼𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴” posts.

If you’re doing that… 𝙎𝙏𝙊𝙋. It’s a 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘆.
Sure, they lure you into thinking that “boosting” for $20 or $50 for a couple days to get in front of 1,500 people will help your business.

But, those people 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗡𝗢𝗧 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗖𝗨𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗥 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗜𝗟𝗘𝗦!
It’s a nice way for this platform to nickel and dime you to death…with a little cash outlay…but then you do not have any clue if it worked.
But, 𝗜’𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗮 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁…

Instead of boosting, there is a hidden back-end feature that you can, literally, 𝙏𝘼𝙍𝙂𝙀𝙏 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 “𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙡 𝙘𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙧” using Ads and Ad Campaigns.

Being a Digital and Social Media Marketing Expert, I know it can be intimidating.
