Alright my dudes, let’s get into it.
The four boxes of engagement probably makes sense to many you. The tough part comes in when you have to implement a strategy that includes all four. Ah, the horror 🙀.
For me, as I was creating the graphic, it was really difficult to not name every single component, and just choose four. Because trust me, there are way more…and I’m also a freak of nature 🙃.
So, when it comes to implementing the engagement factors I’ve listed:
1. Reels
2. Photos
3. IGTV/other feed videos (not reels)
4. Stories
Imagine what feels doable. For some of my newer artists, it’s common for them to say they think they can bang out all four each week.
Is that possible? Sure. Anything is. But, that doesn’t always mean it’s the right move.
My clients know that I believe in quality over quantity. Different than other realms of marketing, my clients are pushing their creativity to the max each week (outside of our work together).
Not only is batching content tough when time is limited but it’s also really mentally draining when your creativity is low.
So what do you do?! 😱
First, grab an ice cube 🧊 and chill. Be honest with yourself as to what you think you’ll be able to accomplish in the week ahead. Just one week at a time.
I’d ask that you always incorporate stories into the mix of content, and choose one other type that takes a little more time and creative energy to produce.
If you think you can do more, I’d advise the following:
💚First week💚:
Stories (shoot for everyday for the next week and then evaluate):
- Sharable content
- Talking (yes, you can do this and no you won’t sound corny talking).
- BTS of your day/night.
Content:
- 1 original reel
- 1 feature reel (using a new fun filter, a trending sound and/or style).
- 1 photo
💚Second week💚:
- 1 reel
- 1 IGTV
- 3 days of stories
Then sit back and see your engagement increase.
🖤,
Ari
