UPDATE 11/13/21: ADOPTED

Dear Friends, Not one single inquiry came in for Josie. This pretty girl needs our help in shares! She needs an adoptive home very soon. Will you help her by hitting your share button for Josie today?? 🙏

Josie is a lovely, 11 year old border collie/husky mix in need of an adoptive home. Josie's owner guesses she weighs about 65 pounds. Regular vetting has not been afforded so Josie's adopter must be willing and able to get Josie vetted, vaccinated and continue regular vet care for the rest of her days to help her maintain good health.

We are told that Josie loves kind children. Josie does not love small or yappy dogs. She should not go to a home with cats. True to her breed mixes, she will want to chase small, furry beings! While she has not lived with another dog in the past 10 years (since adoption), we are told she can "sometimes" be social with other dogs her size.

At this time Josie is fine to stay alone without anxiety when her person leaves her. Of course, coming into a new home, patience will need to be shown so that Josie will learn her adopter is coming back to her. She does well managing quite a while before she needs a potty break and she can still do stairs. Josie is not much of a barker at all; she's a very good girl who really wants to please her person.

Josie is described as being an intelligent, very loving and loyal dog. She does well walking on leash and would appreciate a home where she gets daily exercise. Josie knows basic commands, both verbal and hand. This pretty girl has so much to offer, she sounds like she'd make a wonderful family member!

Four years have passed since we purchased the Bandon Wayside. We have transformed it into a homey, welcoming place, where guests leave as friends. Their stories have inspired us to always do our best, to create new memories and experiences for ourselves. Beginning August 30, 2021, the property will be under new ownership and the next chapter of the Wayside begins.
David and I extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who crossed our path. Each person we encountered changed us for the better. The warmth and kindness we have received over these four years has been extraordinary. You, along with the Wayside, and the Bandon Community will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
