Yesterday I heard a friend tell my son that ‘time is going to pass anyway, so he should major in whatever he wants to do without worrying about the perfect timing.” And I immediately thought, I am doing that! I am waiting for someday. But if I’d just start, painting beautifully could become my reality! So I stated today. I’ve been saving up ideas, what I want to paint and collecting a folder of images from artists that I love. In 1 year I want to be well on my way, and the only way to start is to let my first paintings be a little messy. I like the first layer so far.
I dream of selling paintings of Maine Landscapes someday. I will have to let this dry for a few days and then I’ll add another layer. I plan to tone down the colors that aren’t pink. I want it to feel restful (maybe moody?) overall with a happy, bright and unexpected pop of pink.
