DBL was founded in October 2016 by Lyss Totillo. Lyss was planning her wedding and had a specific vision to create an immersive experience for guests, so they could feel uniquel

y special and cared for. Lyss had always been bored by the sanitized vibe of traditional wedding stationary and wedding sites. It was while trying to order the “Generic Save The Date Postcard” or the “Generic Save The Date Magnet” that Lyss decided to throw out the traditional wedding etiquette playbook and do what felt right for her. What began as Lyss’ creative journey in wedding planning quickly turned into the first ideas of Design by Lyss

Transformation of new owners from dark Tuscan interior design to coastal organic modern. It's amazing how different a home can appear when you switch out some light fixtures and mindfully select lighter furniture.

Personally, I find it odd to have a different stone and wood for the island vs. cabinet area. Same goes for the built in hutch.

This is just part one of the journey for this kitchen and breakfast nook. Eventually we will update the stone and wood to be uniform, and way down the road, we will bleach the wood and make it a more muted, cohesive medium.
