DreamNight 2026 — A Night We Will Never Forget

When we first learned about DreamNight at the Seneca Park Zoo, we knew this was something very special. After experiencing it firsthand on August 12, our team agreed it was one of the most touching and meaningful events we have ever been personally or professionally involved with. DreamNight began in 1996 at the Rotterdam Zoo in the Netherlands as a special evening for children from a local cancer hospital. What started as one zoo's effort to create a meaningful night out for children and their families has grown into an incredible international movement, now celebrated at more than 300 zoos in 35 countries around the world. And after being part of DreamNight at Seneca Park Zoo, it's easy to understand why. DreamNight provides children with chronic illnesses and disabilities and their families with something truly special — a relaxed, supportive environment where they can enjoy a public space on their own terms, without many of the barriers and challenges they may experience on a typical day. It's an evening filled with connection, smiles, discovery and, most importantly, inclusion.

The evening didn't start out perfectly. Thunderstorms and rain dampened the beginning of the event and forced everyone to wait for the weather to pass. But once the skies cleared, something truly magical happened. The smiles, laughter and pure joy of the children and their families illuminated the zoo. We were especially proud to see so many of them wearing the unique glow-in-the-dark tie-dye DreamNight T-shirts designed and donated by Stitched INK. Our team was honored to provide and hand out more than 500 shirts to the children attending DreamNight. The event aligned so beautifully with the mission and values of Arc Allegany-Steuben and Stitched INK — creating opportunities, building community, and making sure everyone has a chance to participate and belong.

We are incredibly grateful to the Golisano Foundation, Best Buddies, Seneca Park Zoo, Premier Parking Services and all of the amazing organizations, volunteers and community partners who worked together to make this magical evening possible. A special thank you to everyone who welcomed Stitched INK and gave us the opportunity to contribute to such an extraordinary event. It was truly a night of magic, inclusion, smiles, and dreams!

A huge thank you to the Mountain Top Youth Commission in Hunter, New York, for trusting Stitched INK to provide t-shirts for your youth sports programs! Your commitment to creating safe, fun, and inclusive opportunities for young people in the beautiful Catskill Mountains is truly inspiring. In communities where access to organized sports and recreation can be limited, the Mountain Top Youth Commission is making a lasting impact by giving local youth opportunities to learn, compete, build friendships, and discover new passions.

We also want to give a very special shout-out to Jess Tompkins-McBride, who has been an incredible ambassador for Stitched INK.

Our partnership with Jess began through our work on branded apparel for the NYSDEC Campgrounds. Since then, she has introduced us to the Hunter-Tannersville community time and time again. Her recommendation led to a successful fundraising storefront for the Hunter-Tannersville Central School SPTO, which then grew into a Hunter-Tannersville Central School Alumni storefront. This fall, we're excited to launch another new storefront with the Hunter Mountain Competition Ski Team—all thanks to Jess believing in what we do.

For the past year and a half, the City of Rochester has become one of Stitched INK's most valued customers, and we couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to work together. From the Rochester Police Department's Police Athletic League (PAL) to the Department of Recreation and Human Services, Department of Public Works, the Mayor's Office of Special Projects & Educational Initiatives, and numerous other City departments, Rochester has demonstrated a true commitment to partnering with New York's Preferred Source Program through NYSID and Stitched INK.

Today, we're excited to spotlight one of our favorite recent collaborations—the branded apparel for the brand-new Maplewood Nature Center! Our team had the privilege of producing a full collection of branded apparel, including shirts, jackets, safety vests, hats, beanies, and bucket caps for the Nature Center staff. Located on the northeastern edge of historic Maplewood Park, the new Maplewood Nature Center is the first nature center located within the City of Rochester. Maplewood Park itself has welcomed visitors for generations and was designed by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, whose vision helped shape some of America's most iconic parks—including New York City's Central Park. His goal was to preserve the natural beauty along the banks of the Genesee River while creating welcoming public spaces for everyone to enjoy. The new Nature Center continues that vision by providing a place where people of all ages can explore, learn, and connect with nature. Featuring interactive exhibits, educational spaces, gardens, trails, playgrounds, and direct access to the Genesee Riverway Trail, it is an incredible addition to the Rochester community.

We are incredibly proud to have played a small part in helping launch this exciting destination, and we applaud the City of Rochester for its continued commitment to inclusion, accessibility, and ensuring that outdoor experiences are welcoming for everyone. What an incredible day at Coach Ridge's Elite Baseball Camp this past Monday at the Hornell Little League Park!

Stitched INK was proud to support this outstanding event as a sponsor and provide the camp tee shirts for the young athletes who participated. The camp welcomed boys and girls ages 8-13 for a day filled with energy, excitement, and skill development. Participants had the unique opportunity to learn from special guest Danny Watson, New York Yankees Triple-A pitcher, while also receiving instruction from Hornell High School coaches and varsity baseball players. The enthusiasm on the field was contagious, and it was inspiring to see so many young athletes eager to learn and improve their game.

Coach Ridge's Elite Baseball Camp is organized by Darnell Ridgeway Darnell "Coach Ridge" Ridgeway, former Hornell Red Raider football standout (2004-2006). Earlier this year, Darnell also launched the first annual Football Camp and Elite Combine, continuing his commitment to providing positive athletic opportunities for local youth.

Growing up in Ohio, Darnell experienced firsthand the impact that youth sports camps had on his own skill development and passion for athletics. Today, he and his wife, Kendra, are giving back by creating those same opportunities for the next generation here in the Greater Hornell community.

As the curtain closes on another incredible Official Great Wellsville Balloon Rally, we simply want to say thank you!

This year's 49th Annual Great Wellsville Balloon Rally once again reminded us why this is one of the premier balloon events in the region. As Stitched INK completes our third year as a Platinum Sponsor, we couldn't be prouder to have our name associated with such an amazing community tradition. A heartfelt thank you goes to Balloon Rally Committee Chairman Brad Thompson and his dedicated committee. The countless hours of planning and hard work that go into making this event a success are truly appreciated, and it shows in every smiling face throughout the weekend.

One of our favorite moments came Friday evening as our own Rebecca Shutt and Katie Ward experienced the thrill of lifting off aboard Miss Molly. Seeing the excitement and joy on their faces made an already special evening even more unforgettable.

Over the past three years, we've also had the privilege of getting to know several of the balloonists—including Tony, Brian, Scott, and Keith. The ballooning community is a remarkable family. Their passion for the sport, their camaraderie, and the friendships they share are inspiring, and they are a big part of what makes this event so special year after year.

Congratulations to everyone who helped make the 49th Annual Great Wellsville Balloon Rally another tremendous success. We are honored to be part of it.

We're already excited to begin designing and producing the branded apparel for the 50th Anniversary Great Wellsville Balloon Rally in July 2027. It's going to be a milestone celebration, and we can't wait to help make it one to remember!
