Namecheap, Inc a scam? or just participating in bait in switch tactics?

Has anyone else ever run into this? I tried purchasing a domain from Namecheap, Inc (I own over a 100 or so domains on Namecheap) for $0.97. They processed my order, took my money, then failed to complete the transaction. Here's the kicker... after they processed the order, when I inquired why the domain hadn't been loaded to my dashboard... they told me it was a bug in the system and domain was actually a premium domain and offered to sell it to me for $1300! To add insult to injury... They even billed me TWICE for the domain they were trying to extort me for. What a bunch of crooks. As a parting shot, they offered me 10% off of everything when I mentioned I was going to post this to social. I placed the pic in the post, use it if you want but, be warned, they may try to screw you too.
