ExxonMobil and LSU’s College of Engineering are bringing world-class research and training opportunities to campus and partnering with championship-winning LSU Baseball to spread the word. In a series of videos titled “Training Champions,” ExxonMobil, LSU Engineering staff and students and LSU baseball players tell the story of the PERTT Lab - a campus fixture that has made LSU a leader in oilfield training for decades.
ExxonMobil and other longtime partners of PERTT are investing in a new carbon dioxide research well that students will use to learn about how CO2 behaves under certain conditions. That experience - which can’t be found at any other university in the country - will position LSU students to lead the rapidly growing, global carbon management field.
