This is a short read and extremely educational for seller’s agents or homeowners placing houses on the market.

Here is a Snippet: Current trends show homeowners are more interested in homes that have a “Greener,” feel. This includes warm colors, and the appeal of an open flow kitchen or open dining room is losing appeal. After the pandemic, buyers are taking more interest in nature.

The housing market is bullish! What’s more, homebuyers are saying they’re going to wait until after the election to purchase a home. People have expressed that buying a home is listed as the third most important concern to Americans during this election cycle. People are hoping that whoever is elected will make policy changes that make home-buying more affordable!

National news and local views for the week

The Fed cut rates by 50 basis points on September 18, initiating a new loosening cycle. Since then, average 30-year mortgage rates have RISEN by 50 basis points to around 6.60%. Why? Because September jobs growth was a lot stronger, and September inflation (CPI) a bit hotter than expected. Hope you enjoy my weekly update on national and local real estate!
