Growing up on the fairgrounds was absolutely crazy. I got to see hand painted rides, trucks and trailers at every turn including this popper. Sadly, most of them have since switched to vinyl over the years due to a lack of painters on the circuit. Fortunately, some still favor hand paint over the sticky stuff, and I was lucky enough to repaint this ole pop corn trailer for Beach Concessions.
This was originally done by an unknown wizard of the brush during the summer of 1992.

The full view of Tait’s Barbershop signs and in their natural habitat. All hand drawn and painted! When we took down the old vinyl signs, I noticed the background was peeling really bad, and that’s because they never peeled off the protective plastic that comes on aluminum signs before they applied the vinyl… needless to say hand paint will always last longer. Especially in this case!
