Some of you know that I had a pretty unique childhood. I grew up traveling various carnivals around Michigan with my mom and dad’s concession business. Out on the Midway is where I got the inspiration that shaped my style of painting and lettering I use today. Every winter we would come down to the Gibtown Showman’s Club here in Florida.
When hit me up to shoot my bike for the magazine at the Showman’s museum, he had no clue I had a connection to this location and the history that comes with it. It was a huge full circle moment that organically formed out of thin air. The museum part was built in 2011 and I had yet to see the inside. I was like a kid in a candy shop during the shoot with all the hand painted signs and banners. Keep an eye out for Vol. 10 to drop to read more and to see the bike shinning in the lights of the Midway. Huge thanks to Erick for having me!
