🇵🇷 Puerto Rican pride took over Fifth Avenue in Manhattan on Sunday, June 14, 2026, as thousands gathered for the 69th annual National Puerto Rican Day Parade. Dancers in traditional Puerto Rican costumes performed along the route, flags waved through the crowds, and floats made their way up Fifth Avenue, including appearances by Puerto Rican singer and parade grand marshal Daddy Yankee and the Reina of Goya.
This year’s celebration, themed “Somos Más Que 100x35,” honored Puerto Rican culture, heritage and achievements in music, sports, science, literature, military service and public life — a reminder that Puerto Rican influence reaches far beyond the island’s 100-by-35-mile size. The parade ran along Fifth Avenue from 44th Street to 79th Street, drawing spectators and participants to Midtown Manhattan while street closures brought pedestrian detours, traffic delays and restricted access around the route. Mayor Zohran Mamdani, wearing a Knicks jersey and holding a Puerto Rican flag, greeted paradegoers along the route and posed for photos near St. Patrick’s Cathedral, where he also spoke with Archbishop Ronald Hicks.

Inside Fredrik Eklund’s Greenwich Village world of art, design and personal history. Photographed on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, in Manhattan, the residence of Fredrik Eklund — art collector, television personality and luxury real estate broker — houses a deeply personal collection spanning more than 125 years of art history. The Fredrik Eklund Collection moves from Symbolism and early Modernism to Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, Neo-Expressionism and contemporary figurative painting, with works attributed to major artists including Jean-Michel Basquiat, Willem de Kooning, Joan Mitchell, Hilma af Klint, Lee Krasner, Lucio Fontana, George Condo, Keith Haring, Tracey Emin, Leonora Carrington, Giorgio de Chirico, Joan Miró, Alexander Calder, Gerhard Richter, Rashid Johnson and Ai Weiwei. The collection gives special weight to women artists and Scandinavian figures connected to Eklund’s Swedish heritage, reading less like a trophy display and more like a visual autobiography — exploring fame, identity, spirituality, vulnerability, memory and self-expression. The photographs include exterior and real estate views of, the building’s outdoor lounge and garden areas, the dining and living rooms, Eklund’s bedroom and children’s room, along with environmental portraits of Eklund inside the apartment. A crowd of 8O,663 packed MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, yesterday, Saturday, June 13, 2026, as Brazil and Morocco opened their 2026 FIFA World Cup Group C campaigns with a tense 1-1 draw. Brazil, chasing a record sixth World Cup title, entered the tournament as one of the favorites under Carlo Ancelotti, while Morocco — the 2022 World Cup semifinalist and one of the most dangerous dark horses in the field — showed once again why it remains a serious threat on the world stage. Morocco pressed high, transitioned quickly and exposed Brazil’s early defensive gaps before Ismael Saibari put the Atlas Lions ahead. Vinícius Júnior answered with a brilliant equalizer, but Brazil struggled to find rhythm in attack. Ancelotti also drew criticism online for leaving 19-year-old Endrick on the bench while Brazil searched for a winning goal. Both teams were missing key players: Brazil without Eder Militão, Rodrygo and Estêvão, and Morocco without Nayef Aguerd and Abde Ezzalzouli.
