Delivered today!
40 years ago Dad made this for his good friend Walt who owned the restaurant with his wife Rita. Walt passed decades ago, but Rita and her son are still running an incredible fine dining experience. This is the call I was waiting for as I really wanted to restore this beautiful work of art. More challenges than I expected on this one… it cracked in half all the way down the middle after sanding (it happens more than you might think) and even with a photo from a few years ago, all of the colors faded so no idea what they were originally like. Also, my first time with water based acrylics. With this one I feel like I can now call myself a professional sign maker.  And most importantly, Rita loved it.
