I met Ed through my ABN networking group, and he’s one of those people you remember. He’s a CPA, he’s definitely a character, and from what I’ve gotten to know of him, just a genuinely great guy with plenty of stories to tell.
This is exactly why I love networking the way I do. Sometimes it starts with a conversation at a meeting, turns into a customer relationship, and then turns into repeat business.
That’s a pretty good Win of the Week in my book.

A lot of business happens before anybody ever places an order.
It starts with conversations, introductions, referrals, and showing up consistently.
That’s one reason I stay involved with ABN and Central Arkansas Networking (CAN). Both give me opportunities to meet other business owners, learn what they do, and build real relationships.
For me, networking isn’t about collecting business cards. It’s about knowing the people behind the businesses and knowing who I can confidently recommend when someone needs help.

Brooke’s on a cruise. Meet interim sales management: Jonesy.
He dressed for the promotion, so points for professionalism.
Unfortunately, his management style involves a lot of naps, very little urgency, and absolutely no interest in answering emails.
So while Jonesy supervises from a comfortable distance, I’ll be over here keeping customer orders, artwork, production, and the rest of the shop moving.

It’s September. Yes, I’m already talking about Christmas. 🎄
